I once had a hawk swoop at my Doxie at the lake, I yelled, and my dog started running I was running throwing rocks, it kept swooping, and she would dive to the ground. Omg, when I reached her I was so terrified. Such a scary thing to have happened.

The vet said if surgery was successful, we would have had to treat her like a burn patient. She basically would have lived in a crate until healed and would have required daily sedation to change her bandages. At 10 years old I couldn't put her through that hell. But she lived a full
