Disturbing beginning! Beautiful ending of 10 babies 🥲
These puppies were in a life threatening environment and at 4 weeks old were literally not going to last much longer they were extremely anemic from worms and thousands of fleas on their tiny bodies. Their living condition was also very dangerous in an old shed full of junk that easily could injure or kill pups. It took time getting them gathered up from rolls of fencing to junk car parts and broken glass. We were dirty and seriously covered in fleas.
I have to thank my friends that came over and helped give multiple medicated baths and medicine.
What you see in the first few photos is how the fleas clustered on their faces feeding 24/7

What’s not to love about this handsome fella?
Baxter is a good boy, our fosters Ashley and Zach rescued him from a high kill shelter along with some other dogs, in the photo he is with a hospice dog named Norm. He is Norm’s comfort and is always making sure to be close. He did not come in with Norm. Baxter may be one of those extraordinary dogs that can sense dogs or humans needing help.
Besides the special gift that Baxter has of giving comfort, he is a very good dog that any family would adore! He is probably 5-7 yrs old and a little chubby. We know he was at some point before rescue he was a beloved pet to someone ❤️❤️❤️

These pretty pups are on their way to Shultz guest house tonight.
They have done very well in foster, including learning a few basic commands such as sit. 4-5 months old, rescued from a shelter in TN. They are calm and sweet puppies ❤️

This young handsome boy was taken to a rural AC when he was a tiny puppy. Lucky for him a kind family fostered him.
He is a sweet, happy boy about 5 months old now, and so ready for his own home. He was fostered with children, and dogs and had basic training. He’s still a puppy, but old enough for hiking and other fun outdoor adventures
Besides all that he is stunning😊

This is a dog that we give very high ratings to. She is a superstar🤩
Once a stray or dumped a kind family has taken care of Bindi and asked if she could be accepted into our rescue..
She checked every box and even some extra boxes. She is kind to all people and good with dogs and cats. Crate trained leash trained. She’s the whole package, weighs 40 lbs and all we can say is someone is going to be very lucky to find a sweet dog like Bindi ❤️❤️❤️

This little pair are such happy girls! 10 lbs of energy and love.
We are thinking little dachshund mix pups because they have short little legs, and big personalities. They have been in foster since being sprung from the shelter, and they have had the best of care, Thank you Janet and Mike ❤️

Big welcome to Chip and Dale🥰
Love will be showered on these little boys we have brought into our rescue.
Sadly they were left in a box outside a spay and neuter clinic in our area.
Chip went to the vet yesterday as something is very wrong with his leg, exam and X-rays were taken and he has multiple breaks in his leg and pelvis.
He has a long road ahead of him, mostly painful surgeries that makes our heart hurt. Our promise to him, he will never know anything but love for the rest of his life 💔

Wanted to throw this out there! So much is put on an adopted dog or puppy, the 3 and 3 rule.
Three days, three weeks, three months. In my experience it should not apply to the dog! It should be the rule for people instead…
The dog may be a bit unsettled for a couple of days but that’s about it.
The truth is it’s humans adjusting to the new dog. So why are we putting that on the dog? Humans are the ones that need to remember to take the dog out to p*e! Humans need to pickup their shoes, and totally change their routine, dogs just do their thing. At Barkplace4dogs and so many puppies and dogs we know this is true! So whoever came up with that unfair statement is incorrect.
Stop waiting for 3 magical months to pass, just look in the mirror❤️ you are probably the one struggling to adapt not the dog….
