As we close in on the end of the year, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who makes what we do at Barkplace4dogs possible.

From toys, blankets, beds, treats and donations of all kinds, every single item helps us care for these dogs and prepare them for their forever homes. We truly could not do this without the incredible support of our community of animal lovers.

A huge thank you to Boo's Place, who has been a big supporter through toy drives and plenty of yummy treats!

And of course, Shultz's Guest House, with their amazing team who always make sure we have what we need for these sweet babies and their volunteers who spoil our babies until they are adopted.

We are also so grateful for the handful of wonderful ladies here locally including Tracy at Integrative Animal Solutions -IAS who continually step up and support our mission, as well as helping us support The White County Animal Shelter with dog dinners and donations.

Your kindness, generosity, and belief in what we do mean more than we can ever put into words. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you. 💙🐾

As these photos play, it’s impossible not to feel overwhelmed with gratitude.

In 2025, we rescued over 750 dogs here at Barkplace4dogs. Each one came with a story, a need, and a second chance waiting to happen. While this video shows just a small glimpse of them, it represents countless hours of love, patience, and dedication that happen everyday behind the scenes.

To our foster families, thank you! You opened your homes, your hearts, and your lives to dogs who needed safety, healing, and time. You worked through fear, medical needs, training, and uncertainty so these dogs could become adoption-ready and move on to their forever homes. None of this would be possible without you.

Rescue is never a one-person effort. It’s a community showing up again and again, saying “yes” even when it would be easier to say “no.”

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being the reason these dogs are here today.

Here’s to every foster, every life saved, and every happy ending still to come. 🐾

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅
We have been hiding these babies that are finally making their debut on Christmas Eve.
Not going to explain much tonight about their story, we didn’t know if this litter would make it. They came to BP rescue at just 2 weeks old because they lost their mama. They’ve been fostered by amazing people that have the biggest hearts and didn’t hesitate to make sure they were fed at all hours, and showered with love. Now they’re 5 weeks old and thriving ❤️
Their story will be posted late January when they’re ready to arrive at Shultz guest house..
Big heartfelt Thank you to Ashley, Aslyn and Marie❤️❤️❤️

Thought I’d put up a post today, our team have been extremely busy with multiple abuse cases but today my post is about Chip and Dale..
I’ve had these two since early July, and have posted them before. When the twins came in early July to us it was difficult to get through to them that no harm would ever come to them again. Broken bones and broken trust, only 4 lbs and terrified of people, they had good reason to not trust humans. We will never know what extent of abuse they suffered.
Chip is leaving me soon, he suffered multiple broken bones. He has seen multiple surgeons and they all said nothing could be done but maybe amputation. Another surgeon could only give me a 50% chance of success, I pondered this and decided if he has a limp for the rest of his life that’s part of his history and Chip you should “proudly limp,” he survived when the odds were against him and his brother…
Dale has scars nobody can see he will stay another month,
The are both love bugs, and give great kisses .
I wonder if anyone will want Chip, i hope so, his leg gets sore when he plays too much, but he quits roughhousing..Then he comes and snuggles with me on the couch. He is sweet with all dogs and walks well on a leash, he doesn’t have embarrassing accidents in the house because he’s mastered the dog door. He’s about 25 lbs and we will miss this sweet boy❤️❤️
His photos show how tiny they were, up to the beautiful young dogs the are today. CHIPPER!!
GO BE GREAT ❤️❤️❤️

Mary Beth is rockin it on her leash training .. it’s not rocket science to give an unsure young dog a little time and patience, mixed with love and a chance for a future. We love her progress in just a week and a half.
Working with unsocialized dogs is a labor of love, and Felicia gave her 100 %, This girl was lucky to be loved and saved by a very caring woman. Thank you to Felicia, for getting her to the point she could be brought to Natalie for continuing her journey to be at a higher level of confidence with leash work and basics. Oftentimes rescuers will change things up on shy dogs to bring out the best a dog can be. So here is the result of teamwork and big hearts. We can’t thank Natalie enough for bringing her heart and skillful magic to help Mary become a wonderful family member in a lucky adopers home. Nobody is giving up..that’s what rescue people don’t do. Thank you Ladies❤️
Barkplace4dogs appreciates your soft place to land for this sweet dog and her siblings 🥰

This is Sampson❤️
This is what a young, loyal dog looks like when they are dumped in a parking lot and the owner speeds away💔he waited for the human he trusted to come back. He waited and checked cars when people drove in and out of the parking lot. Running up and checking every car to find his human. They Never came back but he continued to wait.
❤️This is his rescue angels that brought him home and made his broken heart heal.
When they reached out to Barkplace4dogs we said, YES a thousand times yes!!!
He will be leaving to Shultz guest house in a couple of days.
He is a sweet boy that deserves the best home ever🥰🥰🥰

We always love to see where our dogs started, and landed.
This is Buddy, who showed up as a stray in our area, back in July of this year. He was a young dog that was never cared for in any way!!
Now he is living a much better life then the monsters that owned him and chose to dump him out like trash.
The last photo shows how truly beautiful he’s always been ❤️
Don’t judge a book by the cover …

This is Chip & Dale ❤️Way back in early July this year we took in 2 tiny 4 lb puppies. They were severely abused mentally and physically. Both are so afraid of people especially men. One had several broken bones both so afraid of people. We made the decision this week to separate them. It was hard to do this but they were not progressing and fed off each others fear.
We still have to mend some broken bones and talk to surgeons on what if anything can be done for the leg. The pelvis has healed. Right now it’s the mental and emotional trauma that’s of most concern.
Our hopes that the separation will build their confidence and being around stable dogs they will eventually become the confident dogs we know they can be.

For all our friends and followers this information will hopefully clarify how we operate as a rescue.
1. We are a private rescue that is fully funded by Shultz Guest house in Dedham MA.
We have closely worked with SGH since 2014.
Our arrangement is so successful because we screen all dogs to the best of our ability, and all dogs must meet the highest standard in the rescue world. That is very rare as many times rescue organizations will not do their due diligence and dogs and families pay the price.
When we deem our dogs ready for adoption they are transported to SGH and are further evaluated, so understand please we work as a team and have been incredibly successful in rescuing and placing dogs that need just the right home.
We have a team of foster families here in TN that are, knowledgeable on medical, emotional and behavioral. It’s a big responsibility and a lot of time and effort, they do this because they are kind and caring and can make a difference in human and a dogs life. Every dog will change a human family’s life, another reason our standards are so high.
We transport dogs that are ready every two weeks to SGH, they are on a private transport that is fully licensed and insured. We use Mutt movers and their professional equipment and team drive our precious dogs and puppies straight through the afternoon and night, and into the loving arms of the staff and volunteers at Shultz guest house! Our job is done at that point, we fill up again within days, and start over again.
We have successfully completed over 700 dogs and puppies a year, in the rescue world that is an incredible number. Especially considering the quality dogs and puppies that leave and find great families.
So in following Barkplace4dogs page you’ll have a better understanding how we operate as a team that spans 1,100 miles apart, but in constant communication and decision making.

We love sweets 😊if you do too take a look at these delicious chocolate puppies. Cuddly, and happy puppies, this litter of six have been in foster since being found in a ditch, then brought to the animal shelter. The fosters have given them all the love and care any puppies could ever want.
They also have blue eyes, some have green.
If you crave chocolate you may want to take a look at these babies..
