Brett and Dawn super rescuers were alerted about a house that a dog was left chained, the people moved and the neighbors had been occasionally going over and putting food out. After weeks alone with nothing but 6 cats that were left as well, we got permission from AC to get him into foster and after his hold, he will be a Shultz dog 😂
There is more to his story that will be shared later…
What we know now he is the sweetest boy, sharing what food was put out for him he shared with the 6 cats, I brought my dog over to the location to dog test him and he got an A+ in fact he was so happy to see everyone and a dog friend too it was his best day ever😂
For anyone that has not seen a dog that has lived their life on a chain you can see the stains on his chest. He jumped in Brett’s truck and didn’t look back!! Photos include his first couple hours at Dawn and Brett’s with their dogs ❤️❤️❤️

I was swatted sort of!!
Yesterday my usual morning cleaning creates a lot of commotion especially these two screaming at me for attention.
I somehow called 911 unintentionally 😂
Well two sheriff cars came with hands on their guns, my son David was helping me do some heavy lifting at the time. After convincing the sheriff’s there was no violence happening and they were hearing spoiled puppies not me getting murdered, of course they came in to check and stayed quite awhile picking up and giving them attention. I think the puppies gave them a great start to their day, and saved me from going to jail 😂

Sweet Mama Lilly’s puppies 🥰 Lilly had 6 beautiful babies, she has recently been adopted and now her Summer Love puppies have had their puppy vaccines and passed their health checks and are headed to Shultz guest house😃
These puppies have been well loved and cared for by Dawn and Brett as usual given the best of care..

The Rat pack😂 Dean, Sammy, Joey, Frank These handsome boys were also forgotten puppies that practically grew up in the animal shelter. They finally had a hero step up and brought them home to foster them until transport. Fostering saves lives and we so appreciate Nancy for giving them a safe place to quarantine..they have been hanging out and running with all her dog’s learning how great life can be 🥰 Oh they love water 💦

This pair of little cuties are lucky indeed.
They were brought to our rural animal control and they only had room for them in a shed. So there they stayed for a long time. Lucky for them a wonderful young couple stepped up and offered to foster so they could be out of the shelter and in a home while waiting out their quarantine.
They are precious and sweet !!

RIP Sweet Zoey 💔
This morning little Zoe left this cruel world at 10:00 am
She was surrendered to animal control 2 weeks ago. Her owners didn’t want her. They brought her little bed and other belongings with her to the shelter! Then walked away, she was just a tiny old girl weighing 7 lbs.
Friday we got her to the vet, bloodwork done as we do with all seniors, test we’re flagging her kidneys and this weekend she was crashing. She was slipping away. So as always rescuers are there when nobody else is. Rescuers are the ones that deal with the saddest responsibility when sh*tty people walk away
I’m so tired of it but rescue isn’t for the weak, but it takes a toll!

Another wonderful day for our rescue puppies❤️ never doubt how Barkplace4dogs fosters care for our dogs! This little pack of six cuties are Lilly’s babies coming next trip. Our puppies get the best of care, mind, body and soul ❤️❤️ Dawn and Brett are amazing 🤩

This is what happiness looks like when you have someone that cared enough to foster four puppies that have lived almost half of their life in a cage at animal control!!! Thank you Nancy for helping these beautiful pups, and we have to mention Logan who is Nancy’s dog and having a good time tiring them out, I’m thinking they are in good hands❤️❤️

I fell in love with this wittle fella
Weighing in at about 7-8 lbs, he gives the best kisses in the world
He plays with all the bigger pups and when they get too rough he had a few hiding places, then would come charging out and pounce on an unsuspecting puppy!
I’m pretty sure he will not get very big but, with rescue dogs you never know. He is amazing ❤️❤️

This young brother and sister were found wandering in the road in a rural area. A friend of Barkplace4dogs and animal lover stopped her car and checked the few houses in the area but nobody had any idea who they belonged to, so we’re most likely dumped.
They about 6 months old and are very sweet. They have had a lot of love from Sharon since staying with her, and are now on their way to SGH

The Twilight pups
This is a sweet group of 3 pups that were being given away at a Walmart parking lot. Nothing says (I’ve put a lot of thought into getting a dog when you’re running into the store for toothpaste and just saw pups.) it never ends well)
These puppies are very sweet and love people, dogs and life.
They are house trained with a dog door, and are ready for their own home ❤️
