Dog show weekend, so thankful it ran quick and smooth in this heat. Yesterday Hime received a Champion & Reserve CH win ribbon and Fuji received a Grand Champion win ribbon. Today we took a friend who is in town from the east and has no experience or even practice showing a dog to the show. We had her handle Hime so she could see what it was like first hand since she was curious. It was a small laid back show, so perfect to experience it for fun 😁 Fuji let us know he wasn't a fan of the heat. Bonus - both pups are sleeping now.

Since our last Show update in February, we have attended three UKC show weekends. So we're keeping it simple with new titles rather than a detailed report.
Fuji - Grand Champion and RUSH
Hime - Champion
Katana - DASH title, and earned a win toward her Grand title
As a side note, Katana also received several reserve wins and has done a great job being handled by different people while I showed Fuji. Super proud of all three of them.

PSA: A reminder to always keep your microchip information updated on your pets. I had a friendly trespasser yesterday; she allowed me to put her in our dog run for safe keeping from coyotes until I found her owner. It was the first time I got to use my microchip reader aside from my own dogs and litters. It worked like a charm, I got the owners email and phone number and was able to contact them. They were one happy family to get her back pretty quickly.
