🔥🐾 Too Hot to Walk Your Dog? Think Again! 🐶☀️

Keep your four-legged friend safe this summer by knowing when it’s too hot for walkies! 🥵🐕

🌡️ 20–24°C
⚠️ Be cautious! Keep walks short, stick to shady spots 🌳, and make sure your pup stays well hydrated 💧.

🌡️ 25–29°C
❗ Risky temperatures! Only venture out for a quick stroll in the shade—only if absolutely necessary! 🐾

🌡️30°C+
🚫 Far too hot for walkies! Stay indoors or let your dog relax in a cool, shaded area 🛋️🌬️.

📌 Important to remember:

🔹 Pavement test! If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. Tarmac can reach 51°C even when it’s just 21–26°C outside! 🥵🔥
🔹 Humidity counts! High humidity can make the heat feel even worse 🌫️
🔹 Breed & health: Puppies, older dogs, short-nosed breeds (like Pugs & Bulldogs), and dogs with health issues are at higher risk 🐕❤️

We have had a lot of new followers lately, so welcome everyone 😁
I thought it was time to introduce myself as I am usually firmly behind the camera 😆

I'm Vicky! 🙋‍♀️ These two crazy doggos are Marvin (Collie) and Gerald (Sausage!) and together, we are Jay's Pet Foods!

Growing up with a lot of pets including horses 🐴, dogs 🐶 & cats 🐈 it was kind of inevitable that I would study Animal Management and I gained my Level 3 Extended Diploma 💪

My small business came about because of my Beagle, Dotty. She struggled with Kidney Disease and as a result I did a lot of research into the best nutrition for her needs! The natural route was the way to go with raw food, natural treats and chews. So I decided to set up my biz to share my knowledge and experience with other owners to benefit their doggos too! ❤️

Sadly my sassy princess is no longer with me 😢 but I have Marvin and Gezza as my super Taste Testers and they do hand pick (or rather paw pick) new products from time to time 😜

So that's us in a nutshell! If you saw my new logo reveal, you'll know that my doggos are a huge part of my life and my small business is incredibly close to my heart. This is why I do a happy dance with every order, because I know I'm sharing my knowledge with other owners to help enrich their dog's lives 🐶
