PB&Chi Dog Rescue Society is a non-profit registered Canadian charity, that is a private foster based rescue whom saves dogs from the overcrowded shelters in the US, Canada, Mexico in addition to taking in owner surrenders from around North America - we believe rescue has no borders

hem their furever family - although we have a 90% foster failure rate...meaning that 90% of people who come in only to foster, end up adopting the dog ;)

Every one of the dogs that comes through our rescue is fully vetted; seeing a trainer and veterinarian for assessment and medical or behavioral issues taken care of to the best of our ability. Every dog comes spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots and vaccines, and SNAP tested for heartworm, lyme, Anaplasma and Ehrlichia. Each foster home is provided a crate, bed, blanket, leash, collar, tags, toys, bowls and food to keep if they adopt and free training provided (and required for power breeds). We go by the mantra that saving one dog may not change the world, but it changes the world for that one dog

LESTER IS BEING ADOPTED!! 🥳

We are SO excited to announce that Lester is being foster failed by his foster family. We checked in with them after the holidays asking for some updates, new pictures and video to spruce up his album and their reply was "this big ol' dummy is home, he wants to be a [their last name]"

Lester was adopted out almost a decade ago from our rescue. When his original family reached out to us saying they could no longer keep him, as a responsible rescue we immediately took him back. We assessed him over several months and throughout several homes before putting him up for adoption. One of our OG fosters, who have two other dogs from us, said they would be happy to foster him and try him out in a home with multiple dogs and children. He THRIVED and it was beautiful to watch him meld right back in with a family ❤️

We are so happy to start 2025 off with this big guy being adopted! 🐾

‼️Dog Poisoning by Sutherland Turf Field in North Van.

(Posting of behalf a family member.)

This evening around 6:30pm their dog ate something which looked like dog biscuits. (See attached map, exact location highlighted in yellow).

Dog started immediately uncontrollably convulsing, shaking and vomiting, so they took her to the emergency vet hospital.

Diagnosis:
someone maliciously inserted something highly toxic like he**in or something else very caustic into dog biscuits/pieces of chicken. She has acid burns all over her mouth, acid burns in her stomach which can be life threatening if it leaked to other organs. 😢

This dog is 95lb so you can only imagine how potent this poison is and it’s clear that it was done maliciously to hurt another animal.

Family is going back to the same area now to look for poison leftovers so other dogs don’t get hurt but please stay alert if walking your dog there!

Christmas miracle #1 🎅

Yodi has moved into a foster-to-adopt home!

He meshes with their lifestyle so well, and is going to get his free training session with The Pack Dog Training on Tuesday to help them navigate their saturated neighborhood with the sassy boy 🐾

We could not be happier and will keep everyone updated 💗

Mister Jimmy Dean sausage has been making leaps and bounds in his training!

Yesterday he went to an off leash dog park and while he was on leash, he did amazing interacting with other dogs of all sizes!

He is perfectly crate trained, house broken, no seperation anxiety and loves car rides. He is a little bit of a tiny tank on leash, but we're working on it.

His allergies are totally under control and while he's on a strict diet, he will do anything for a treat (in the appropriate protein) 🍬

Small children and cats are still a no go, but he does seem to prefer small dogs over big.

He is still waiting for his Forever Home, is it you?

Good news Sunday 😁

U*i is being ADOPTED!! 🥳

As you can see, happiness abounds with her and her new mom. She has a cat brother, which is going to be a slow relationship to be built, but the foundation is going well.

The ladies will both be getting their free training sessions with to help set them up for success, so stay tuned for updates ❤️

This little bae was brought back from Tijuana recently after being found discarded and flea infested in the streets.

He has a wonderful temperament, no issues with people, dogs or cats.

He still needs his full round of shots and to be neutered in the future but is otherwise healthy.

WE FOUND ANU!!

Well mom did 😉

As soon as she got back to town, she came to our house (where he was lost from) and started calling his name. Almost immediately he started barking saying MOM I'M HERE!!
Where was he?!
BACK IN MY YARD!!
Did he leave and come back? We don't know.
Did he stay hidden somewhere in the yard? While that is a possibility, I have motion sensing cameras and multiple dogs were in the yard and never found him so I find it hard to believe BUT...

I don't care where he was because he's back with mom safe and sound with not a scratch on him.

Words cannot express the gratitude from the Pack and his family the way that this community came together to help him. Each and every one of you that interacted with post, shared his story, went looking for him we wish we could give each of you a hug. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I've barely eaten or slept in the last 2 days so I'm going to have a beer, go to bed early and probably sleep like I'm in a coma.

Again to everyone, words cannot express the gratitude that we have for all of your support while he was lost. We love our cross border community 🇨🇦🐾🇺🇲♥️

It has officially been one year since the UK bully ban. We want to hold space for those who didn't make it to 2025. We won't stop fighting for these archaic bans to be lifted and for humans to finally be held accountable. XL bullies we ❤️ you.

Guess who else got adopted? WOLFIE! After completing a two-week board and train and full assessment by @the_pack_dog_training he did a trial 2 weeks at a new home with a BIG dog sister, Paris and a human sister too! He is so happy and loved and we are thrilled we could help this little man find his forever ❤️🐾

Yodi would love to help you go outside more! He has finished his board and train program with @the_pack_dog_training and he's ready for his forever home! He is a 2-year-old male people x Basset Hound that weighs about 50lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. He came to us because our former family and to a local that to be euthanized as they claimed he was aggressive (he wasn't he was simply untrained and undersocialized) This adorable dude is: ✅ Crate trained with no seperation anxiety ✅ Good with dogs of all sizes ✅ Working on cats but a good foundation ✅ Good with all humans big and small Although he still needs a little work on his leash manners, he's coming so far and is very food motivated.
