It is with a heavy heart that we need to tell everyone that Smokey flew over the rainbow bridge overnight. He was sweet, sometimes grouchy, sometimes bitey, and all the time wonderful.

He was spunky and adorable all the way to the end. He wasn’t sick, but we believe he was at least in his late 30s or 40s add had a pretty hard life until he came to usWe also want to thank everyone who donated to his surgery and loved him like we did.

We know that he is flying free now, with both of his wings. He is going to be missed dearly by everybody who loved him 💔💔💔. Rest  in peace, sweet boy ❤️❤️.

Okay, so I have continued to give Smokey a seed blend (along with fresh veggies every morning) thinking that he won't eat pellets (I didn't want to switch him cold turkey after the stress he was under). Well this morning, I didn't put any seed in his bowl and only put in Roudybush California Blend (we DO live in Cali, sooo...) and he went right over and began eating it! Wonder if he has been tricking me all along...LOL??? Love this bird!!!
