Why Rival business issues should not be a thing in the horse world. Kelsie learns from lots of horsey folk and different businesses- and these are the common grounds every horse business has.

1. We all do it for the love of the horse and pony and the addiction to learning more about our passion

2. Its a job 24/7 no holidays or leave

3. No one understands the work put in apart from those who the buck stops with in this line of work.

4. There is no massive money in it. We work to have our ponies and facilities 🤪 there is definitely jobs that pay more and alot less challenging 🤣

5. Only other livery yards competition yards or riding schools know how hard it is to make it all work and respect where respect is due - to stop is not an option when you love your ponies.

6. Every day we juggle what we do to provide something we love to others.

7. The gains and losses are massive. I considered a horsey career as a kid and decided it wasnt for me 🤪 like most when the going got tough i opted to continue it as hobby.

8. We negotiate weather, horse capabilities, rider capabilities, horse injury or illness, rider injury or illness, personality clashes, equipment management, work load, learning capacities, nutrition health and wellness and fitting in around our personal life and yours and so much more to bring this service to you as do any other
Providers.
Sometimes the stars just dont align 😝🤪 but the money still needs to come in.

Running an equestrian business is complex and can be soul destroying and a never ending cycle of all sorts of s**t 🤪. What tends to hurt us the most is uneducated peoples comments on our services - we do what we can with what we have to work with in most cases. We work hard for our money and respect. We are constantly judged scrutinised and criticised for every move.
