Some beautiful shots of comb jellies (ctenophore) and hydrozoan jellyfish taken by Vince Patton at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Comb jellyfish are not actually bioluminescent in that they do no produce light themselves. Light reflects off their cilia, small hair like appendages which wave up and down in order to propel the jellyfish through the water.

An interesting feature on the recent increase of barrel jellyfish (Rhizostoma pulmo) around the coasts of the UK on the UK's This Morning program. An Orbit 20 containing moon jellyfish as also displayed.
