Is your pup new to their Rex Specs gear? Check out this training tip from our ambassador, Ali!
Grab a plastic cup and cut the bottom off. Cover any sharp edges with tape so no one gets poked. Lure your dog’s nose into the large end of the cup and administer treats from the small end of the cup. By using the cup to help your dog get used to sticking their nose into things, you can eliminate any negative or fearful associations with their new gear, and make training easier. 🐾

Your dog deserves gear that stands the test of time. Rex Specs goggles lead the pack with unparalleled protection. 💪
Because our goggles are designed specifically for keeping your dog’s eyes safe, we test them against the safety standards for human protective eyewear. The ANSI Z87.1 and MIL-Spec tests involve shooting projectiles at the the lenses of our goggles at speeds of up to 150 FPS and 640 FPS. The lens must withstand the impact without cracking, fracturing, or dislodging from the frame. The eyewear must also pass a penetration test, where the projectile cannot pass through the lens or the frame.
Rex Specs have passed both tests and are ANSI Z87.1 and MIL-PRF-32432 rated.

Hardcore dogs deserve hardcore gear. That’s why all Rex Specs leashes and collars are put through pull strength tests during the development process. 💪
During these tests, items are put into a pull test machine, and gradually pulled apart until they reach a breaking point. Pull test machines are devices designed to measure the strength of a material or the integrity of a joint or connection by subjecting an item to tension until it fails. These tests are an integral part of how Rex Specs creates gear safe and durable enough for every adventure.

“This is why I always put protective gear on the dogs when pheasant hunting. The good news is Izzy’s gear worked. As you can see the @rexspecsk9 did their job as well as the @mendotapet Skid Plate. No injuries from running into the hidden barbed wire.” - @billdoms
