⭐️⭐️⭐️Puppy & adolescent classes⭐️⭐️⭐️
❓So why should you join one of our outdoor group classes?
Group classes can be a great way to start your training.
With small groups, this allows you to build the skills needed to work with your dog, learn early socialisation techniques and pick up on any issues that may arise and work on these early on.
You’ll be training with other puppy caregivers, so you can make friends and share in the ups and downs of puppy raising.
Working with an experienced trainer allows you to ask questions, learn what your dog is telling you and help to give your pup the best start possible.
❓What will you cover in these classes?
Puppy classes are for pups under 6 months and focus on helping you introduce your puppy to the world.
We will cover how to socialise your pup, how to build confidence, learn to read their body language and build on some basic manners.
You will gain the foundations needed for loose lead walking and recall, along with learning how to build focus and calmness into your routine.
⭐️The adolescent plus course is for pups over six months and will focus on building on these skills. If you missed early puppy classes, want to build on the skills you have already learnt or just want a refresher on basic manners then this may be the course for you.
To join a group class dogs must be human and dog, friendly and happy in a small group environment. If in doubt please give me a call and we can discuss to find out the best option for you and your dog.

Yesterday we celebrated Tilly’s 3 year gotcha day! what a 3 years it has been with a rollercoaster of events, but love her to bits. Let’s hope the next 3 years are slightly less eventful 🥰
Just spending time with my girl and building our bond. Remember to work with the dog you have in front of you and enjoy your time together. I don’t think we will be winning any competitions with speed and precision, but as that’s not the goal we are happy with that. Enjoy the dog in-front of you and find what is right for your partnership.
What does your walk look like?
Ours are alway slow and sniffy, often with a hint of fox 🦊 poo 🤦♀️🤣.
Tilly has a selection of health issues that mean long distance and high energy walks are not possible. So we have had to change our walk style to suit her needs.
All dogs are different and have varying needs.
Some love the fast pace
Some like to play and run
Others prefer a meandering sniff
Most people will do a mix of the above?
Whatever your walk, remember to consider your individual dog, their preferences, health considerations and age.
Take time to learn about your dog and ensure the walk is actually structured around what your dog enjoys or needs. Sometimes we can walk our dogs without actually taking these things into consideration.
What would your walk look like if your dog were to choose?
If you have a spare few minutes enjoy the tranquility of a sunny lunchtime walk with Tilly & I 🥰
👍Thank you to everyone who entered the prize draw to celebrate my 6 years in business. It was great to see so many gorgeous pictures of your dogs.😍
Well the entries have been collated and the wheel of names spun!!!!
The winner of the bottle of bubbly goes to ………

Thanks to all of you for your continued support and Liz I will be in touch to arrange delivery of your winnings.
If your dog likes to dig then I would suggest making a digging pit or area. I have shown you my pit before but this mornings fun, showed why we chose to make one
This was Tilly this morning after a zoomies. She got excited over a plastic pot she was playing with, had zoomies round the garden and then took the rest of her energy out on the digging pit!
We have just relaid the lawn in the hope that she would choose this for her moments of destruction and top marks for her decision making. 🥇
Before the pit, she would have done this to a patch of lawn and as you can see she can dig a big hole very quickly.
I don’t want to stop her digging, because as you can see she loves it, but it can be a challenge when your lawn ends up looking like Swiss cheese!
Greatest decision we made so far and now a tired dog 🤦♀️🥰

So you may have seen that I made Tilly her own digging pit in the garden. Well I had put a mat down under the sand to restrict her digging too deep. Well, she hadn’t used it for a little while so in my infinite wisdom I thought I’d remove the barrier in the hope she may be more interested!! Well, what can I say other than it worked!!🤦♀️🫢 I think I may need higher sides to keep the mud in😂🤣
She is fully enriched now, but once rested if anyone needs any foundations, bunkers or holes dug at break neck speed, give me a call 🤣😂
Now for sweeping up the mess, but I have a happy hound .
Here she is having fun 😍

🧠 Mental Enrichment
🐶Physical exercise is important for our dogs but mental enrichment should not be under estimated and it is important to include a balance of the two.
❓Maybe it is not time for a walk but your dog needs to release some energy, maybe you have guests and your dog could do with being provided with suitable entertainment or maybe you just want to treat your dog because you love them!
Enrichment can come in many ways and below are a few ideas for you to try.
🧩Toys and puzzles
Start easy while you dog learns about how and what they need to do. If you start with something too hard your dog may loose interest. Then gradually increase the difficulty as required.
💡Use food balls, puzzles, Cardboard boxes with food or toys and packaging within, toilet roll stuffed with tasties, stuffed Kongs, lick mats, foraging mats or other similar items.
👃 Scent work
Dogs should be encouraged to use their nose and this will not only give them enrichment but will also help to tire them out.
Maybe scatter feed some of their food on the floor or garden, hide some tasty treats and get them to go find them, or hide their favourite toys and get them to search them out.
😀Training
Engage your dog in short training sessions throughout the day. This will not only benefit you and your dogs relationship, but will strengthen tricks and behaviours and also mentally enrichment your dog.
🦴 Natural chews
Provide your dog with long lasting chews that can keep them entertained, make them feel good and help them settle after excitement or when they are tired.
💡Providing legal and suitable chews is a great way to prevent unwanted chewing and help give your dog an outlet when you are busy or unable to give 100% attention. (Remember, many chews do require supervision to avoid them becoming a chocking risk).
🌳 Walks
Remember Not all walks need structure. Why not just let your dog lead the way, follow the smells, have no set route and enjoy your tim
Last week I had my 3rd session with the lovely Gus. We met in the house this week rather than the garden and he stayed calm and able to focus on his caregiver. He was happy to engage in some Free Work while I was in the next room and was happy to approach and investigate. I even had some happy tail wags. 🐕 This was the end of the session where we were in the same room and he was starting to approach as he was finding I was the bearer of good things. He wasn’t too sure when the camera came out and that spooked him slightly, but he and his caregiver have done some amazing work. We also worked on calmness using mat training and muzzle training so Gus has the skills if needed.
He has struggled with visitors coming in the house and knowing this, our sessions have been managed so Gus has not felt the need to react in my presence and he has done amazing.
Great work Team Gus and I’m so glad you have managed to put some of the new skills into practice since the session.
After a few minutes of zoomies and rearranging the sofa cushions to just how she likes them .Tilly decided it was a little too warm for this kind of exercise and thought it was time to cool off 🤣. Maybe she should wait until it cools down before she puts her interior designer hat on !🤣🤦♀️☀️
Stay safe and cool over the weekend 🥰

I had a lovely update from gorgeous Luna’s amazing caregivers. They have spent the past few months having adventures on a narrow boat. Luna had started reacting to the paddle-boarders and canoeists as they were a new experience for her. With repetitions and consistency here she is fully focused on her caregiver as the paddle boarders cruised past.
Fantastic work. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your adventures.
90 mins workshops - Gain the tools and get your training started
