From small beginnings...
Hello! Welcome to The Legless Millipede. Here we specialize in invertebrates and invertebrate supplies. We started out as just a hobbyist, keeping a few lizards and snakes. In the last few years, we have moved our animals over to naturalistic, bioactive enclosures. An essential part of these is the soil microfauna. So, we started off with common garden woodlice to seed our enclosures with. The colony that started it all so to speak. From there, we soon realized there was a world of isopods and invertebrates which could and would benefit the bioactive keeper, yet were rarely utilized in such roles. All these beautiful isopod species that invertebrate keepers breed for fun, yet lizard and snake bioactive fans didn't even know existed! So here we are. Bringing the best of the isopod (and the millipede, and cockroach) hobby world together with the greatness that is naturalistic reptile keeping. Our aim is to find new and interesting species that can share the vivarium with your favorite reptiles to thrive as custodians, and for some add a little extra to their diet too.
