"Today I sent my best friend to the Rainbow Bridge.
I think we all have that one dog, the dog that stands out among all the other dogs you’ve loved in your life… your heart dog. Well, Ranger was my heart dog. For me, there will never be another like him.
He was goofy and loving. A loyal friend to the end.
When I brought him home he had a sparkle in his eyes and I knew he was going to be special. And he was! He did everything that was asked of him. In spite of me being a first time golden owner and never having had a show dog, he got his CH then his GCH and even went to Westminster. So many adventures we had together! He always had a ball in his mouth, sometimes even when he was sleeping. Though he loved showing, his favorite was dock diving. He loved the pool more than anything.
Finally thanks to all of you who cheered his accomplishments and tolerated my constant dog posts. I’ve met so many wonderful friends and mentors and supporters through this dog. And I can’t thank y’all enough.
It’s been a rough day for sure but I’m glad that he didn’t have to suffer or feel pain. He was happy and smiling all the way to his last breath. He had a great last day and had plenty of treats and ice cream and his first ever chocolate chip cookie and a new duck to take with him to the bridge. Thank you for letting me share him with you all.
