Rector, a 10-month-old German Shepherd, is suffering in silence, crying and waiting for his ex*****on day. He is trapped in a high-kill shelter, facing a death sentence he doesn’t deserve.

Scared and alone, he has not had a good life and is now lined up for euthanasia due to shelter capacity. Please help save his life—email the shelter with his ID before it's too late!

Meet Luna #243650! Luna is a 2-year-old female German Shepherd. She was surrendered to us moving issues, but the owners left us with some great notes about her. While Luna has been only an outside dog, she has done well with other dogs both large and small. She was raised around children and done well with them and adults. While she has been here Luna has been very gentle and sweet with staff and she just wants their attention. Due to her being an outside dog it appears she hasn't had much leash exposure, so staff haven't been able to take her on any walks. We recommend researching the breed of any pet you are considering. Here are some things to keep in mind: German Shepherd Dog is a large, agile, muscular dog of noble character and high intelligence. Loyal, confident, courageous, and steady, the German Shepherd is truly a dog lover's delight. German Shepherds will be gentle family pets and steadfast guardians, but, the breed standard says, there's a 'certain aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships. As a very active and athletic breed, the German Shepherd requires lots of exercise for his physical and mental well-being. A dog who is not exercised enough will become frustrated and likely to develop undesirable behaviors.
