Hey All...
Just wanted to give everyone some updates about the page and upcoming season.
We have a few more teams out there to help, but we could definitely use more! If you're a tracker new to us, and want to take some tracks, message the page. Even if you have a dog in training, and are thinking of tracking for the public, get ahold of us. We'll try to get you hooked up with a local tracker that you could go with a few times to get a feel for the real thing, and if an animal is recovered, your dog may be able to run the line for practice and get exposure to a real animal at the end of the track.
Life is busy for us admins, and we try to get you linked up with trackers asap, but at times we're just plain busy and can't answer right away With that being said, we are endorsing the tracking app, Trakr. This app is on the IOS (Apple) and Android platforms, and is a true app you can download on your phone. It is free to download and use for hunters and trackers alike. The only cost is for trackers, ONLY if they choose to get/use the analytics portion. If you don't want that part, it is completely free to use. This app is the official app of United Blood Trackers.
Hunters, you can download the app, create a profile, enter all the information about your shot/hit, then submit it. It will ask you all kinds of questions, just like us or any individual tracker you contact, only this way, you put in the info once, and after you submit it, it blasts the info out to every tracker in the area that is using the app. Remember though, we are thin across the whole state, so have some patience, and give it some time. If no one is reaching out, you can always send us a message and we will get the word out best we can.
Trackers, we are highly encouraging you to download and use this app if possible. You can set your distance range of notifications from 10 miles to 300 miles. You can make a profile and choose to use the analytics or not. It's kind of neat to keep all your tracking info about your tracks in one spot. One of our admins is working closely with a Trakr admin, so if you have any hiccups, hopefully we can answer any questions quickly. As a tracker, your info is NOT available to be seen by any hunters or other trackers. You only become visible to a hunter once you apply for their track, and it is limited info.
Hopefully this connects hunters with trackers quicker, and less screenshots and 3-4 way communications across multiple media platforms...
We at ND Tracking Dog Group are endorsing the Trakr app for the 2024-2025 season.
Again, you can find it in your app or play stores on your phones, or go to gettrakr.com
Happy Hunting (and tracking) to All!
We’re here when you need us. No more searching around on social media, calling deer trackers late at night or trying to remember which buddy may or may not know who to call. TRAKR is your all-in-one game tracking app.
