Comix Cattery - Devon Rex, Mutant and Proud Proud to be loved and 'owned' by the most wonderful creature in the world - the Devon Rex! Welcome to Comix Cattery! Devon Rex cats are VERY social creatures.

We are a very small Devon Rex cattery in Dallas, TX. They want to help you with everything and will follow you around all day long. If there is no one at home for long stretches at a time or you don't want a cat to be on/near you at all times, this breed is NOT for you! Our breeding program places health, temperament, and socialization above all else. We do not place kittens until they are 16 week

s to ensure health and proper socialization. Health - all breeding cats are genetically tested and regularly tested for FeLV/FIV and HCM. We believe in continuing education and are currently taking courses through pawpeds. Temperament /Socialization - Our cats rule the house! We do not use cages - ever. From the moment the kittens are born, we shower them with love and attention. We are lucky to both work at home most days of the week so they are accustomed to constant attention. We set aside at least 1 hour each day for dedicated play time where the entire crew is involved in games and chase. Life is never boring with a Devon! We also breed cats that conform to the breed standard. We are registered with TICA and CFA and are very active in showing our cats in both organizations. As a "rex" cat, we value coat first and then head type. If you are interested in being owned by one of these special creatures, please send us a private message. Be ready to tell us about yourself, about the home environment the kitten will be placed (other animals/kids/etc), and your experiences with pets. Today is a very special day! On 12/12/2012, our Little Man was born. HM’s heart kitty is 12. 😻. He is great at sporting a RBF but is the biggest snuggle bug around. I am getting the “why did you stop petting me” look. We love you to the moon and back.

Zeb, our retired stud, has lately showed his desire to be placed in his forever pet home. Zeb is a very sweet and wickedly smart boy. He has an incredible motor and loves nothing more than to flop himself on your lap or your chest, wherever he can get close to you. He's a big cuddle and loves to give head butts. Zeb does have some minor health issues that are covered by an insurance plan and we can discuss these further with any interested people. Zeb will need to be in a home with no other male cats and I will consider a younger female in the home because he has shown the tendency to bully males and older or vulnerable females. He loves the young girls in the house though and loves to cuddle with them so it's possible he will be happy with a young female cat. I will also consider, and prefer, a trail basis for anyone close to Colorado Springs. If you are interested, please reach out and we can talk further about this sweet guy.

We apologize for not posting in a while. We have suffered several very sad events lately at the House of Comix and just did not have the strength to post until now. Most recently, our beautiful blue-eyed girl Storm passed. She would have turned 10 years old yesterday. Storm was a happy girl who loved belly slaps and being a complete goofball. Magik misses her terribly as do we. I hope there is an afterlife where we can reunite with all the fur babies that touched our lives and melted our hearts. Love you sweet angel. Until we meet again.

Comix Cattery - Foxy Litter - Final Day:

We are heartbroken to share that Little Banshee passed away this morning around 7:30 am. HM and HD were up through the night administering feedings, breathing treatments, and keeping him warm. We thought that we had saved him from the brink, but alas, he is gone. Grandma Scarlet is looking after him now on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Many people simply don’t understand how soul crushing breeding can be. Especially when you are as emotionally attached to the kittens as we are. The screaming, the tears, the pain… there are blissfully joyful moments and there are times like this. The House of Comix is in deep mourning…

Thanks to all who gave prayers and love through this emotional week.

Comix Cattery - Foxy Litter - Day 8:

We had a little scare last night with Banshee breathing very rapidly. He didn’t want to nurse or take the Miracle Ni**le, so we tube fed a couple of times through the night. He seems to be doing much better this morning though and has resumed normal nursing and his breathing is much improved. He continues to put on weight and is still strong. HM and HD are doing everything we can and it’s exhausting, but we won’t stop. Keep your fingers crossed for this little angel…
