None of the puppies have had any health problems or challenges since birth, and have been in excellent health. There have been no vaccinations given to these puppies to date. I do not recommend vaccinations as I prefer the natural approach outlined below. However, you are free to chose your approach to your dog's healthcare. You should take your puppy to your veterinarian between 14 and 16 weeks for a checkup since you are required by Michigan state law to give the puppy a rabies shot at that time. Traditionally, you should take your dog to the vet once per year and keep shots and vaccinations up to date. The rabies shots are the only ones required by state law. PLEASE check out the websites below before vaccinating your dog. www.healthyhappydogs.com/vaccinate

Garlic is a powerful anti-biotic,anti-septic,anti viral and anti-cancer herb. It's uses are almost endless. When feeding, give it every other day. Garlic is very strong and can be toxic to dogs in large amounts. Please research carefully before feeding to your dog. Springtime inc.com sells Bug Off treats for dogs that make giving garlic easy and hassle free. Wait till your dog is over 6 months of age before feeding garlic. You can give your dog 1/8 tsp per 10 lb body weight, granulated or powdered garlic. If giving raw cloves follow guide below.

-20 to 40 pounds - 1 clove
-45 to 70 pounds - 2 cloves

My pups have been given Diatomaceous Earth from the age of 4 weeks on. I also use Granny's natural herbal immune booster and wormer. I do not use all of the things listed above at the same time. I alternate between them and use what works best for each dogs. There are a host of herbs that will benefit your pets health as well as your own. I hope you will consider looking into it. OnlyNaturalPet.com has been a life saver for me and my dogs. If you want a safer non-toxic way to keep your pet healthy, you will want to explore this site. Your pup will need it's nails trimmed periodically. How often depends on the dog and the environment, so just keep an eye on them. When they get too long, where they are touching the ground when the paw is level, then the nails should be trimmed. FEEDING
You should feed your puppy three times daily or, you may free feed (leave more than enough food available all day). At about six months of age, you can transition to feeding your dog twice per day. The puppies have been fed Victor Select Dog Food. I highly recommend this food for you dog. It is non-gmo,gluten free and contains no fillers. So your dog does not need as much! Please visit www.Victordogfood.com for more info on it and the store locator to find the store closest to you. TRAINING

Training your puppy will be very critical to its quality of life, and by association, your quality of life. Train your dog to eliminate its waste in a designated location you've selected. Train your dog to respond to some basic commands so you are able to keep it under control with your voice. You may take your puppy to a dog training class that may be offered in your area, or look up some good dog training resources on line. Socializing

It is very desirable to socialize your puppy with people and with other animals during the first year of life. This is accomplished by ensuring the puppy is around various people, adults and children, and is able to interact with them. Time to interact with other animals will be beneficial as well. These times may need to include some light training to encourage the desired behavior in these situations.
