Hopscotch
Look how cute our shy little calico is chasing her tail! Hopscotch has been waiting SO long to find her forever home. Please consider adopting older kittens or senior cats when you’re choosing a forever friend.
Mirra the super mom
Our tiny little momma cat, Mirra, has been a supermom to lots of kittens the last few weeks. (2 of them are hers - the tiniest two)
Megadots update
Our neonate and critical care foster, Rayven, has Megadots feeling better already! Thank you for your continued support
Not quite 3 weeks old and they are on the move!
🐾 Remember Mr.Grey? Luckily one of our followers saw his post and wanted to adopt him. Here he is now with his new mom. He's definitely settling in quite well! He's in a kennel for now until he gets used to his new kitty roommates at his new home. A huge thank you to Carol for adopting this very sweet and overlooked boy who just needed a home. ❤️
James
Handsome little James was rescued from a local shelter and is ready for his forever home. If you would like to meet him, please come to our adoption event Saturday afternoon from 1-4:30 at the Tiffany Springs petsmart
Boo and Bean
Look how sweet these brothers are! Who would like to adopt 2 mini house panthers? You can meet Boo and Bean Saturday afternoon from 1-4:30 at the Tiffany Springs Petsmart.
Betsy’s Babies
During our adoption event Saturday we met a woman who had just fled an abusive relationship, along with a carload of pets who were also in danger. Despite being completely at capacity, we knew we had to help.
Today we took in 12 of “Betsy’s Babies” and we thought you might like to see a few of them. Enjoy!

Adopt Me! A post a day for Big Johnny! Post #31 ❤️
Johnny has come so far in his healing journey. He walked into one of our traps while doing TNR on May 2nd in Clinton County and he was in bad shape. It's taken months for him to heal. This video of him is 3 weeks after he came into our care. He was confined in a small kennel or closet for months before we found him and it caused his muscles to atrophy. This is one of the first times Johnny could walk without falling over. He is now a chunky, happy and healthy boy who is more than ready for his furever home. Can Kansas City rally together to share his posts to help him find a home?

Some soft tiny biscuits from a tired Johnny. ❤️
Poor Johnny has been through a lot. He was adopted by a hoarder who lives in a very small town. The hoarder constantly brought in new animals and would often put her "not so new" cats outside. Johnny was one of those cats who ended up outside. Luckily a nice couple in town feed the local strays that are frequently dumped. Our TNR volunteer started trapping these cats for spay and neuter when Johnny walked into one of the traps.
Our volunteer contacted his "owner" and she claimed she took him and a few other cats back to the shelter a few months ago. Unfortunately she was not telling the truth as he was thrown outside with multiple other cats. When we took Johnny to the vet it was discovered that he was anemic, underweight, had horrible ear infections, very little muscle mass and nerve damage. The nerve damage was something he was born with. Unfortunately his low muscle mass was said to had been from being confined in a very small area for a long period of time. Most likely being kept in a small closet or kennel. He could hardly stand up from a laying or sitting position due to having very little muscle mass in his back legs.
After months of loving care in his foster home he is finally healthy enough to go to his furever home. His nerve damage causes him to waddle when he walks but he is not in pain. He is a super friendly boy who adores attention. He has the quietest purr and is always making biscuits. If you are sitting or laying down he will want to lay on you while happily always making biscuits. Even with his nails trimmed he really goes to town with his kneading which can be uncomfortable for most. He also loves to play but sometimes will play bite. Due to his strong kneading he will need a home with someone who does not have thin skin that gets cut easily.
He will need a home with no other cats since he does bully them. He is also scared of dogs. So

Update on Johnny's health and behavior! Johnny has gotten so much stronger these last few weeks that he can walk with ease, he just waddles a bit. He still hasn't been able to run, he just has a very wobbly trot that's definitely a sight to see, his foster mom will try to catch him in action on her phone to share! His manners have also gotten much better. He has not given any love/attention bites in the last month and he loves to be held. Unfortunately this boy still hasn't had any adoption inquiries yet so if you can continue to share his posts we'd appreciate it!

Johnny loves his scratchers! 5 months ago he could hardly stand and walk and now he loves to play and do normal cat things. He has come so far with his healing journey. Now he just needs a furever family.

Big Johnny sure loves his daily catnip time! This sweet boy will make someone a wonderful companion! Unfortunately he hasn't had any adoption inquiries yet.
