Lots of hopeful faces at the Wendy’s drive thru , alas, I was just getting a salad for lunch. What’s really funny, is it’s generally the same guy giving me the food, and when he sees me pull up he shouts to everyone in the back: “ Hey guys, the lady with the dogs is here again, come see!” 😂

Sometimes I wonder when I “google” something, who else looked up the same thing as I did? In this case, it’s “ how often do I need to feed my ladybug that is hibernating in my unheated upstairs bathroom linen closet?” 🙃🐞 She/he is 3 days in, and here is presumably happily munching on some lettuce that I put in the container.

We hope everyone is having a “Betty” kind of day! 😂🔥❄️
Playgroup resumes tomorrow, and for the little pooches, I’ve shoveled the entire dog yard pretty much down to the ground, so their feet won’t be too cold in the 6 inches of snow! (We have a snowblower, lol, but I didn’t even have to lift the snow - it was so light, it could just be pushed around with a shovel to the corners of the yard) Good exercise for me! ☃️

I think finally, after three months, our Bean realizes that Hannah is her “little” sister! She has so many good dog buddies, that I wondered when she would realize that this one was here to stay! Beanie typically wouldn’t allow anybody else to use her as a pillow like this, though, so I think the deal is sealed! 🐾🐶🐶🥰

Training begins! 😍

We were very lucky that for almost 3 weeks our baby girl was actually staying in the home of the founder of the rescue where she came from down in Tennessee, whereas our poor Bruno had gone straight from an animal shelter into a vet for boarding, and never had this wonderful experience. And now we continue her training, and we know she’s going to be the best dog! (Keeping in mind that any dog compared to a Basenji is a really good dog ha ha ha!)

Our baby girl has been put on the transport truck coming up from Tennessee, I’ll be picking her up very early tomorrow morning in Rhode Island. Cannot wait to meet her, and cannot thank Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue for another sibling for little Beans, who really needs another dog family member in her life, since Bruno passed away over the summer .
