It’s that time of year again. If anyone has any medium/large pumpkins they are looking to discard, please feel free to leave them for us!
In addition to this mama deer, who loves raiding the bird feeder, we have turkeys, skunks, possums, coyotes, rabbits, raccoons, and more, that would love to snack on them.
And when everything is eaten, the leftovers go straight into my compost heap!
It’s like a wildlife sanctuary here … 🙃

WARNING, these are very unsettling images of an extremely neglected dog… I just wanted to give a shout out to the rescue in Tennessee where we adopted Bruno, and more recently, our Hannah. These people are doing SO much good for the community and these dogs in need down in the south, trying to educate people and also to get all of these wonderful German shepherds and German shepherd mixes in good health , and off to good homes, (which largely means that they are adopted up north.) They are wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend them! 🥰 They are not paid for these efforts of course, it is all volunteer work - and these people at Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue are amazing!

At the end of a Tuesday playgroup, these four are always the last ones to quit, lol. I jokingly say that all four of them are like Timex watches, “they take a licking and keep on ticking!” Of course we monitor to make sure it does not get too rough, but these best buds LOVE to rumble! 🥰

Basenji’s are just different.. this was a tiny side street and I was going about 10 miles an hour, but she would do this on the highway if I let her! 😂 🐶
