Peyton here.. I have my mommy up in the early morning hours as I was such a GOOD BOY yesterday at the new vet! I like that man alot, he was so kind, I could tell because I even gave his hand a little head butt and I normally save those only for my Mommy. But he was so nice and petted me and talked to me, man to man like that I had to let him know I thought he was pretty cool.
Here is the GREAT news!! I have been doing so well that my doctor says he does not need to keep me on that yucky poisonous stuff! For up to or longer...possbily forever!! YES!!!! I DID IT!! I completed a year and a half of chemo, and I am clear of mast cell tumor bumps!! (OK Mom, don't start bawling again..I know you are happy, so am I!) This nice doctor, Dr. John Hintermeister, is a well known authority on pet cancer and I think he said also a professor too.. Mom was so excited she can't remember.. but he said I am lucky that I survived as much chemo as I did from that other place that did not treat me nice :( He said I should be glowing. Mommy feels terrible but she did not know and trusted those people. Then they made a mistake on my bill, overcharging her 3 hundred bucks and refused to fix it and kicked me out instead. (a blessing in disguise!). Dr. John said I am most likely so swollen and bloated up from so much chemo in my system.. and its time to give me a break as there are no mast cell tumors! He did say that if my Mommy finds another one, as they can pop up in just a few hours, that he would give me a better, long acting, and more more gentle chemo pill.. ugghgh Mommy can't remember the name, again she was so overjoyed she thought she was going to pass out she told me on the way home! I will find out the name and pass it on to you all, cause I am here for INFO! We want to help other pets and their parents get through hard times, and a diagnosis of cancer in us is so very tough on pet parents, so devastating to hear, cause we are part of the family. Not only that, many pet parents
