Lead Your Pack With Tawnya Our vision is to create a world filled with unconditional love where pets and their people thrive. Pets are people too. Whew! Perfection is what I found.

But I'm sure if you are reading this you already know that! Our pets love us unconditionally, day after day. They bring so much fulfillment to our lives. They look after us, cheer us up, make us laugh, keep us company, and so much more. They depend on us to make healthy choices for them to help them feel their best. It's up to us to give them the very best in nutrition and care. My husband and I b

elieve in finding the best nutritional plan available for each of our pets. In today's world, we are blessed to be able to have the technology readily available to us so that we can learn about anything, anywhere, anytime. I began researching the ingredients in my pets' foods and treats. I was disappointed in what I thought were top notch foods. I wanted to know all that I could so that I could begin home cooking for my dogs. After many hours of research, and approval from our veterinarian, I finally had what I thought was the perfect fresh meal for our pets. I was crock potting chickens and cutting vegetables and basically cooking more for our dogs than for us! Then we adopted our beautiful German Shephard puppy Diamond Pearl" and soon I was up to deboning 6 chickens a week! I knew that with our family's busy homeschool schedule, and her growing like crazy, I would not be able to keep this up. So soon, I found myself on a mission to find a food that would meet my high expectations in nutritional value. Along comes pawTree.... of course, I go directly into researching the ingredients. With customized nutrition plans I also found support in helping me figure which food, supplements and treats for each of my canine babies (we also have a teenage chihuahua and a senior pug) and in what quantities they each need is a huge blessing! We are so glad that you are here. We would love to be able to help you discover the best nutritional plan for your pets. We are available by phone, email and social media to help you with any questions that you might have. We look forward to serving you, and your pet in the best way possible. Unlock your pets potential! In loving memory of all our pets who wait for us across the rainbow bridge, you are always with us: Skipper, Smokey, Tango, Jazz, Frank, Melody, Hershey, Dappie and Hutch. The Lord has blessed us with many years of being loved by canines and felines. May he bless you as well.

Halloween is almost here! I’d like to offer a few pet safety tips so everybody has a safely spooky time. 1. Help pets remain calm during a busy night of trick-or-treating. A tasty soft chew with herbal anxiety-relieving ingredients like my Chillax can help keep your pet relaxed for more fun and less fright. 2. Keep pets away from candy, glowsticks, Jack-O-Lanterns, and Halloween decorations. All of these can be dangerous if chewed and/or swallowed by your pet. 3. Make sure your pet is comfortable wearing a costume before the big night! It’s best to have a couple of days of dress rehearsal to make sure your pet is okay playing dress-up. BONUS TIP: the chaos of halloween can stress out your pet. I keep my fur family calm with Chillax!

"Judy, a purebred pointer, was the mascot of several ships in the Pacific, and was captured by the Japanese in 1942 and taken to a prison camp. There she met Aircraftsman Frank Williams, who shared his small portion of rice with her.
Judy raised morale in the POW camp, and also barked when poisonous snakes, crocodiles or even tigers approached the prisoners. When the prisoners were shipped back to Singapore, she was smuggled out in a rice sack, never whimpering or betraying her presence to the guards.
The next day, that ship was torpedoed. Williams pushed Judy out of a porthole in an attempt to save her life, even though there was a 15-foot drop to the sea. He made his own escape from the ship, but was then recaptured and sent to a new POW camp.
He didn't know if Judy had survived, but soon he began hearing stories about a dog helping drowning men reach pieces of debris after the shipwreck. And when Williams arrived at the new camp, he said: "I couldn’t believe my eyes! As I walked through the gate, a scraggly dog hit me square between the shoulders and knocked me over. I’d never been so glad to see the old girl!"
They spent a year together at that camp in Sumatra. "Judy saved my life in so many ways," said Williams. "But the greatest of all was giving me a reason to live. All I had to do was look into those weary, bloodshot eyes and ask myself: 'What would happen to her if I died?' I had to keep going."
Once hostilities ceased, Judy was then smuggled aboard a troopship heading back to Liverpool. In England, she was awarded the Dickin Medal (the "Victoria Cross" for animals) in May 1946. Her citation reads: "For magnificent courage and endurance in Japanese prison camps, which helped to maintain morale among her fellow prisoners, and also for saving many lives through her intelligence and watchfulness".
At the same time, Frank Williams was awarded the PDSA's White Cross of St. Giles for his devotion to Judy. Frank and Judy spent a year after the war visiting the relatives of English POWs who had not survived, and Frank said that Judy "always provided a comforting presence to the families."
When Judy finally died at the age of 13, Frank spent two months building a granite and marble memorial in her memory, which included a plaque describing her life story." Dogs are family ❤

Did you know that cats purr for more than one reason? Of course they purr when they’re happy, but they also do it as a form of self-healing! The frequency of a cat’s purr is also the rate at which muscles and bones best grow and repair themselves. Some think purring even evolved as a survival tactic overtime. Whatever the reason, they’re purrrrfect to us!

Did you know your kitty is really a ‘Creature of the Night?’ Scientifically known as “crepuscular animals,” the only species who get more sleep than cats are possums and bats. Cats love to sleep 14-16 hours a day and are most active during the hours of dusk and dawn, being most playful when we humans are either ready for bed or not quite ready to get out of bed!

The holidays are coming up fast, and it's never too early to start thinking about holiday safety. 🎄 This year remember to:

1) Skip the tinsel. This is especially true for cat parents.

2) Keep plants out of reach. Poinsettias, holly, mistletoe and lilies can be harmful and sometimes even poisonous to pets.

3) Sharing is caring, but not when it's food. Keep that delicious holiday meal away from your cats and dogs.

4) Secure your tree. You don’t want it falling on your pets.

Have some safety tips of your own to add? We’d love to hear them. ⬇️
