Willie made his pound break a couple of weeks ago and went straight to the vet to be neutered. We have had him in boarding ever since because we did not have a foster home. Thankfully, one of our foster homes was able to take him in and he made his boarding break yesterday!
Willie will be hanging out for a couple of weeks then will start heartworm treatment before heading to his new home on the East Coast 😍

Happy New Year!

A few of our volunteers welcomed in the new year by giving their time today to heartworm test and take pictures of a few of the dogs at Ouachita County Animal Protection Society. 🐶

We are hoping to be back out there Saturday and as soon as we have a time we will announce it if anyone wants to come help volunteer and help prepare for the colder weather. We will be wrapping the outdoor kennel area, heartworm testing, and hoping to take pictures of the rest of the dogs out there. Ten dogs heartworm tested and pictures taken and about 60 to go!

Ktan loves her friends at Eldorado Animal Hospital. She loves the attention so much that she works the front desk for free 😀

Ktan has come so far and is looking wonderful thanks to her amazing foster family and the care she's received from El Dorado Animal Hospital! We are hoping she will get a clean bill of health in the next few weeks and then she'll be available for adoption.

Who loves dogs? 🙋‍♀️
Who wants lots of doggie cuddles? 🙋
Who believes they all deserve homes? 🙋‍♀️
Who wants to foster a dog to get them out of the shelter? 👀👀

There are so many dogs and puppies in local shelters that are just waiting on their chance to be adopted or board the puppy bus to our northern rescue friends. In order for us to take dogs out of the shelters, we need foster homes to help.

Foster homes help with the transition from shelter life to home life. They are the heroes of our little rescue and we need more of them.

As a foster home you supply a safe and loving place for a dog in need and we supply all of the food, treats, toys, and pay for all medical care.

Santa stopped by the Camden City Pound and OCAPS yesterday to pass out treats and stockings full of toys and goodies to all the dogs waiting to find their forever homes🥰
He also dropped a box full of treats and toys for us to give to all the doggos at CCAPS!

Our elves are helping get toys and treats together to help Santa drop off at our local pounds and shelters tomorrow!

Thank you to those who donated during our Give A Dog a bone fundraiser! We love passing out treats every year, spending time with the dogs and puppies and making sure they have gifts for Christmas, too. ❤️ This year we will be passing out toys and treats to over 150 special babies who are just waiting for their forever homes. Not able to adopt but want to help? We can always use foster homes to help get dogs out of shelters and into homes while they wait to be adopted. Justin Field wanted to remind everyone that you still have time to donate to our annual Give A Dog A Bone treat and toy fundraiser!

Every year Santa makes a stop at our local shelters and our fosters to pass out toys and treats to all the doggos waiting on their forever homes.

Our donation box is set up at Camden Animal Hospital and is accessible day or night. ❤️

We will be collecting the donations Monday at 5pm so you still have time to drop off toys or treats for the doggies 🐶

Julian is all dressed up and ready to meet Santa Paws 🎅 and a family to call his own ❤️

Julian is 2-3 years old, heartworm negative, neutered, and is doing great on learning manners.

He is being fostered in a home with four other dogs and a pot bellied pig. He is crate trained, does pull a little on leash (but we are working on that), and house trained.

Julian loves people but can be shy at first meeting. He loves to play with his toys and foster friends, but also is happy with just chilling and napping. He was in a home and we were told he was possibly involved in an incident with other dogs, but we are not sure if that's correct. We always recommend slow intros and haven't had any issues.

She's low to the ground, snores like a grown man, loves her snacks, and steals hearts wherever she goes. She's our special Mimi girl and she's looking for her forever home ❤️

With all of her wonderful attributes, Mimi still has some health issues that will require a special home. She has CHF, chronic ear infections, is heartworm positive, and has spondylosis. Despite all of this, she is super sweet and is looking for a home where she can live out her remaining time, however long that may be.

Our sweet boy Jack started his heartworm treatment today and is taking it, like everything else, in stride 😍

Jack has been through a lot and we are thankful that his friends at Camden Animal Hospital have been there with him helping him along the way.
