Meet Sally in Salem, OR. Sally was living in a field being fed by a community Good Samaritan. They reached out to us and some of you may recognize her sweet face as we were on the hunt for a foster to get her safely indoors.
Sometimes it’s the best we can do although in this case the best we could have done is to have gone ahead and vetted her - even if it was TNR.
We now have her safely indoors with a wonderful foster family - and Sally is now about to POP! Fortunately her incredibly foster family is excited at fostering a mama and babies and so soon we will have Sally’s family to share…. Stay tuned for more on this sweet Mama!
Sally makes biscuits wherever she is even in the air!
We just love sweet updates! Out mild CH boy Arthur, who is completely deaf, is getting all the loves in his new home! We think they all scored the love lottery!
Keizer, OR
MEET FELIX!
Hard to believe this sweet boy hasn’t been swooped up yet! This 3.5 yr old young adult is just the sweetest chill boy. He loved to be near you and will chat with you too! But he’s not demanding of attention and is happy to play with a toy or lay in a windowsill watching the world
Felix is FIV + and the picture of health. Please don’t let this stop you from all the love he has to offer. FIV is only transmitted by deep
Puncture wounds and our boy is a lover, not a fighter! He lives with other cats and large dogs too!

Please share our Tera into the perfect home!
Tera is a beautiful 2-year-old orange and white domestic shorthair with a unique and vibrant personality. She may seem a bit "psycho" when you first meet her, but don't let that deter you. Tera simply needs time to trust and decompress in a new environment. Once she feels safe and secure, she transforms into the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for.
Tera thrives best in a home without children where she can have the peace and quiet she needs to feel comfortable.
Tera is scared of other cats but she likes big dogs that are calm! She would be ok with one other calm cat but really would prefer to be the only feline.
One of Tera's favorite things is finding cozy spots to lounge and observe her kingdom. She's got a knack for making you laugh with her quirky antics and will reward your patience with endless affection.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to show her true loving nature, Tera might be the perfect match for you!
Once she adjusts, she will follow you, talk to you and sleep on the bed next to your leg!
She’s a very special girl.

Meet Felix, a friendly feline who possesses a serene and independent spirit. His gentle nature makes him a delightful companion, always ready to lend a comforting purr or a soft nudge of his head. Felix has a mellow temperament, appreciating quiet moments and peaceful surroundings. He's also FIV+, but don't let that deter you. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives with proper care. Felix's independent streak makes him low-maintenance, perfect for those with a laid-back lifestyle. Adopt Felix and experience the joy of a companion who'll offer you unconditional love and quiet companionship.

Zelda is sweet 9 or 10 yr old senior who is vaccinated and spayed and needs a landing place - adopter, foster or rescue!
NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS - this is about helping Zelda, not spouting feelings on being rehomed.
The family will hold her until the perfect home is found but needs to find a home by the end of the year. Zelda grew up with another cat and 2 dogs- she gets along with the calm dog but is scared of the second one who chases her.
She is social and sweet with people! The family is expecting their first baby and will need help from extended family - their extended family are highly allergic and will be limited on coming over with Zelda still there.

Meet Sir Arthur Barnaby, the feline knight you never knew you needed! This three-year-old charmer is the epitome of cat royalty, complete with a noble name and a heart of gold. Residing at a foster home in Denton Texas, Sir Arthur is eagerly awaiting his forever kingdom—err, home.
Sir Arthur Barnaby is no ordinary cat. He’s a special blend of playful energy and cuddly sweetness that will make your heart melt faster than a cat can chase a laser pointer. Despite his mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia (also known as wobbly cat syndrome), he prances around like a kitten on a sugar rush, proving that life’s little quirks only add to his unique charm. And did we mention he’s deaf? This just means he’s mastered the art of silent napping and will never complain about your choice of music!
This dashing gentleman has all the credentials of a perfect companion: fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He’s ready to go, no assembly required. His favorite pastimes include being held like the royal treasure he is and providing endless entertainment with his playful antics.
Adopting Sir Arthur Barnaby is like winning the cat lottery. Don’t miss your chance to bring home this aristocratic bundle of joy. Get ready to welcome a knight in shining fur into your life—apply today through Quirky Cat Sanctuaries. Your castle will never be the same!

Keizer, OR
This social young girl has been either dumped or lost in Keizer in a field near Shady Lane and Sallenger. Shes small and likely under a year, not chipped and has been posted for several days on the lost Lost and Found Pets of Salem Oregon page with nothing.
We are happy to support her with Quirky Cats Sanctuaries but cannot bring her in without a foster who can commit to holding and caring for her until adopted.
All of our rescues are so full and we just can’t help without fosters.
She needs to be vetted as she also has a cutaneous horn on her toe bean…
Please email
[email protected] if willing to help!
Another great way to help is with our Amazon Wish List!
Dallas TX - Bonded pair!
Cade joined us with his soul brother Gabe. These two babies had a very hard start after being left in an empty house and then sadly put in totes. They are safe now! And, these two boys are the funniest, most trusting and loving boys you could meet. They also love each other very much and would love to be adopted together. They chase each other around and wrestle all day long. They LOVE to eat! They snuggle together for naps and bedtime. They CAN be separated, but need another cat in the home to play and snuggle with. Neither wants to be home alone. Cade gets along/politely ignores the two dogs in his foster home, unless he decides the dogs need some grooming. Then they will clean them up a bit. He loves to get into his foster mom's lap, especially when she is working on her laptop. He will make a lucky family giggle all day long with his funny antics.

PNW - Needs foster or rescue:
Currently in Salem, OR and happy to transport to Metro Portland area
These two kittens were found in a woodshed when they were very young at 4-5 weeks and now are 12-14 week. The finders have had them for 8 weeks and are being kept in a small catio enclosure - they JUST reached out for help to find them a place and don't want to continue fostering.
We can support locally in Salem with a committed foster or I am happy to transport them to a rescue if ANYONE has space available. they have not yet had any vetting ...
Sir Arthur Barnaby in Dallas, Tx!
This boy will steal your heart and keep you laughing! We initially thought Arthur was mild CH (wobbly cat syndrome) and he may be but presents a little differently - vet work up felt it may be a cranial nerve injury (no life threat and doesn’t progress or cause harm) but regardless it doesn’t slow him down and adds to his personality! He has a steady stance and a side head wobble - and he’s as deaf as deaf gets! He cannot even “hear” vibrations. He will
follow you wherever you go and loves to be loved!
He’s a young adult around 3-4 and just a doll!
You can apply to adopt Sir Arthur here:

Maverick joined us at the Oregon sanctuary several months ago.
As a severe CH baby, he requires additional care and help with eating and litter boxes and his original family just couldn’t do it anymore.
Maverick would switch between a corner of the couch and laying
Under the coffee tables for several months. Just this week he wobbled his way to one of the beds in the TV room and has decided this is his new hang spot! No longer afraid of the dogs and noises, he has found his happy
Place!
We have some very cute new quirkys that have joined our rescue!
On the right is Arthur in Dallas Tx who is a true QUIRKY CAT! Sweet Arthur is deaf and slight sight impairment and either has some neuro symptoms or mild CH .. but shhhh he’s not aware!
And we have Torti Mama Mimi with her babies, Cali, Red and Spock who are with a foster in Oregon!
This sweet litter will be altered and vetted in about 6 weeks and ready for homes.
We are desperately low on funds and could sure use some help with our new intake vet visits.
We have been limited in how much we can do with intake but we help where and when able and could not turn away this previous family who had a wonderful
Foster willing

Big big thank you to Furry Friends Washington that took in these two scared and sweet ones whose human had died. Quirky Cats Sanctuaries was full to the brim and no available fosters and they didn’t hesitate to help! Rescues working together ! Grateful
Maverick has officially joined the gen pop at our Oregon headquarters! He is still figuring out his way and we are delighted to have him. He’s got a lot going on and had bloodwork done today - poor guy is missing some canines and back teeth and needs to build his strength. We think he may have some birth defects along with having CH and we will sort out what we can and love him regardless!
Buddha Update from his new Mom! He is the best boy ever!😸 I absolutely love how affectionate he is, and, lets me be. He ate his dinner sitting in my lap 😂 after, he laid on me getting endless pets and purring the whole time. My sisters met him yesterday and love him as well. He has warmed up so nicely! He really exceeded my wants/expectations, he’s the perfect fit for me 🧡
Dallas TX Formally welcome Cade (gray brown tabby) and Gabe (white face) to our rescue! For those that followed, these two babies were found in a tied up Tote sadly with a third deceased kitty inside. There is an ongoing investigation with 8 other cats being held at DAS. These two have been cleared to stay in rescue and finally On the road to their happy ever after! They are approx 8-10 months are fully vetted now. They are safe with temp foster and we still Desperately need a longer term Foster for them - they can also be adopted separately but preferably together! https://quirkycats.org/adoption-application
Best feeling ever seeing a previous feral still unsocialized cat start to turn the corner and learn to trust! She’s not injured, she has moderate CH and is very wobbly - and beautiful! We are letting her decompress and assessing how much she will Learn to trust then to getting her vetted!
10 days ago Sammie was living on the streets and had never been touched by human- she is still terrified and only time will tell how social she will become. She has a safe haven for her if needed - but regardless she won’t have to fend for herself again. She is moderate CH, is 2 and has had three litters! No more baby girl.
Happiest update on Pumpkin! After a visit to vet yesterday where she got fluids, some appetite stimulants and calming meds.. PUMPKIN IS FINALLY EATING! Her mom is so grateful and happy and Pumpkim is home where she should have been all along!
Milwaukee, OR This sweet stray boy has been Coming around a house in Milwaukee for awhile and today showed up with a swollen paw and not putting any weight on it. We are still very much in start up Mode and I am grateful to those who have donated to our Quirky Cats Sanctuaries . This guy needs vet and foster! I can’t bring him home until I get a Few of my fosters adopted If we can get enough pledges we May be able to help get him to a vet
Well, we hadn't planned on jumping in quite so quick, but where there is a need we find a way. I had posted this kitten several days ago but of course everyone is overloaded. We found a great foster and will taking Chloe in as our first official "Quirky Cat" rescue baby! While we are still getting set up, we are just covering her from our pockets and any donations or sponsorship for this little girl would be so appreciated! Donation link is below or if you prefer to VENMO OR PAYPAL, just PM me and I'll send you my personal info for donation. When found, she was dragging her legs and we wont' know until she gets to vet this next week what they think - but we can assume a healing pelvic injury possibly. She is now walking fine, but will need all the things before adoption https://quirkycats.org/donations Paypal: [email protected] THANK YOU!
And, as promised, a video of our very special quirky cat, Roxie! Roxie is moderate CH and has little control over her back Legs. It can be scary to watch, but they rarely get hurt and learn to manage their disability very well! Roxie has an amazing ability to leap through the air and balance herself against the litter box side - occasionally she tumbles and needs a little clean up and we are happy to oblige! Roxie was adopted out in Texas and recently returned and joined the Oregon crew (she’s a great airline passenger!) as she was originally a foster of our founder, Nancy and so is back where she knows her people!
Meet Emmy! Emmy has mild “CH” but it doesn’t slow her down! CH can be mild such as with Emmy or can be more severe (stand by for a post on Roxie, our more “moderate” girl!) Emmy is joining our Oregon sanctuary from Texas and will Be up for adoption in Oregon in the coming weeks. Cerebellar hypoplasia is a developmental condition in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance, and coordination. The condition is not painful or contagious.
