Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue

We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home Shih Tzu and other small breed dogs into permanent adoptive homes. We do adopt outside Ohio, but we do not ship our dogs.

Adopters must be prepared to come to Ohio to finalize the adoption. Our dogs come from a variety of situations. High kill shelters, owner turn-ins, and cast-offs from puppy mills. We get their medical needs assessed and treated. Our foster homes then work with the dogs to get them placed in a home that best meets their needs. We do not operate a shelter. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes

as part of a family environment. Our foster homes perform a critical function of rehabilitating their foster dogs so that they are adoptable.

Look at the fantastic job done on these T-shirt tugs! The Reynoldsburg High School Livingston Campus National Honor Society Students took on the task of braiding these tugs as part of their community service. The students did a total of 97 tugs that will be sold to help offset the veterinary cost for dogs saved by Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue. The students have an understanding of the importance of up cycling, helping animals in need and the many ways to serve the community. Ohio Fuzzy Pawz truly appreciates and thanks these outstanding students for their service and contribution to our cause.

A special Thank You to their National Honor Society Advisor, Tatum Wise for organizing and participating in this event along with the students.

Karen DePoy also deserves a big Thank You for helping cut the many T-shirt strips required for this project.

The Ohio Fuzzy Pawz booth at the Pickaway Craft Mall is ready for the arrival of snow. Lots of cute coats and hoodies for your favorite pet. Pick up a Christmas toy for all the pets on your list. Plenty of cat and dog toys.
