Does this gorgeous boy belong to anyone? He has taken up residence in a garden at the top of Cwmaman, Aberdare. He is in excellent condition but is unchipped and unneutered. He's totally black except for a small flash of white on his chest. The feeders may adopt him but first we need to ascertain whether or not he is homeless. Any info, please get in touch. Thank you!

PAN (left pic) and PIXIE (right pic) are brother and sister, around 6 months old, who were rescued from life on a heap of rubbish in a back lane. They are going to need an understanding home as both cats are quite timid. PIXIE is the more confident; now that she comfortable with me she wraps herself around my legs! However, anyone new coming to see her, she hides. They can both be stroked and Pixie can be cuddled. It would be lovely if they could have a home together but I accept it may not be possible. Both cats are neutered, microchipped, wormed and deflead. (Pixie is also advertised elsewhere on our page)

UPDATE: we've been reassured by the rescue that it was too dangerous to leave the kittens and that everything is being done to get mum.

We are very worried when we see kittens being rescued from unsafe situations but mum left behind, as appears to have happened recently. It's essential to get mum at the same time as the kittens or else the problem will start all over again. Getting the kittens is the easy part. If anyone offers to pick up kittens born outside a home, please get in touch with us or ask the rescuer to do so. It's easier to catch mum if the kittens are still in situ, as she will stay around for them.

Update: Hope is with a fosterer in Caerphilly and the fosterer has received a generous donation from Shodie of Lynx Legacy to help with her care. Thank you, Shodie!

This is HOPE. She has spent nearly two years living in a garden shelter in Merthyr, being fed by the kindly houseowner but having litter after litter and she is pregnant again.
After being notified of her plight, we picked her up and put her with a fosterer where her babies can be born in safety. Afterwards she can be spayed. The future is rosy for our Hope!

REHOMED!
SAUSAGE is a need of a new home and a new life. His owner's circumstances have changed drastically so he (and the other cats he lives with) need rehoming.
Sausage (the name can be changed!) is about 3 - 4 years old, is neutered and microchipped and is a sociable, friendly cat, used to the presence of other animals, including dogs.

Cynder is 5 years old, neutered and microchipped - but being all black is not very easy to get a good photo of, sadly! She's a friendly, sociable girl and, like Sausage, is used to other animals including dogs.

RESERVED! Sorry to all those lovely people who expressed interest in Fudge! I could only pick one of you and he is now reserved!
FUDGE is desperate for a new home. His owner has recently passed away. Her sister goes back and fore daily to feed him but he's on his own in the house. Sister can't take him as her dogs play hell with him.

REHOMED!!
DOES ANYONE RECOGNISE THIS CAT, MOUNTAIN ASH AREA?
Unless an owner can claim this sweet little cat, he will be up for adoption shortly. He's wandering around, seemingly lost and hungry. A kindly family are letting him in occasionally, out of the cold, but they already have two cats and a dog so can't keep him in. We think he's a neutered male (but he was a bit wriggley on examination, so could be a female!)

This lovely little girl is PENNY and Penny is in need of a new home.
She's a young cat, very affectionate but also rather nervous and can scare easily so would suit a quiet house with no young children.
Petite Penny is with a fosterer at present.

HOME WANTED
PIXIE is one of the three youngsters who was living on a pile of rubbish in a back lane in this area. She has now been neutered, microchipped, wormed and deflead and is ready for a new life where she'll be loved and cared for. She's sweet and gentle with me but obviously will take time to adjust in a new setting. Things have been happening to her in a hurry! She learned to used a litter tray within 48 hours of arrival. She's been caged so we're not sure what she'd be like with children or dogs. It would be a matter of trial and error. After what's happened to her we want to ensure any home is the right home. Incidentally, she is a LOT smaller than she appears in this photo!

We are very sad to tell you that the four ginger kittens found dumped on the mountain above Mountain Ash have not survived. The last one died yesterday. One by one they faded away. Despite the vet visits, despite all the care and tenderness lavished on them by Doreen, it seems that everything was stacked against them; the conditions into which they were born, the abandoning, the heavy parasite load..... We never get used to losing rescues, in particular helpless babies that should have been loved right from the beginning.

UPDATE:
Does anyone know anything at all about these three? Are they siblings, mum and kits, unrelated, etc? IF ANYONE SUSPECTS THEY BELONG TO A COUPLE IN THAT AREA BANNED FROM KEEPING ANIMALS, AND YOU THINK THOSE PEOPLE HAVE MORE IN THEIR HOUSE, PLEASE RING 101 TO REPORT TO POLICE . I spoke with RSPCA who advised this as the people are now breaking the law.

Three youngsters found living on a heap of dumped rubbish in a back lane in Tynte. Kind residents were feeding them and someone had made them a shelter from a crisp box. Two are very dirty and matted so will need some work. The tabby is a cuddle monster! We didn't really have room but how could we leave them outside.....

HELP.
We are still short of the estimated amount for this cat"s dental.
We have £210 from the Blue Cross, £60 from the RSPCA, £45 given to Yvonne and £163 in donations from this appeal. That's £478. We still need to get as close to another £295 as possible. EilDor Cats will contribute but we also have a dental booked on the 19th Oct for a stray tom who'll be castrated at same time, so our funds will be close to rock bottom.

This is a whopping great ask. This girl has been rescued by a kind lady after spending years living rough and having litter after litter. She was neutered a year ago and returned to her area. She started frequenting the lady's garden and was given food and shelter. However she now needs dental extractions as she can't eat properly. The estimated cost from the vet is nearly £800. That is for three teeth to be removed. The lady has nearly £400 towards the cost but needs help to reach the total amount. We'd be so pleased if we could help this cat to have the much needed dental. We'd like to advise her to go to a different vet but we know it's not possible, given the present vet shortage and difficulty in getting appointments. Neither can we put her in with our vet as she's not under our care.

Hector and Horatio are 5 months old, inseparable brothers. We are looking for a home that will take both as they are totally bonded. Hector and Horatio are VERY loving boys, wanting to wrap themselves around you, cuddle and have lots of affection: very surprising given that they were abandoned and walking the streets. If you want loving, sweet, gentle companions that are comfortable with dogs as well another cats, look no further!! The brothers will be neutered prior to rehoming.

LUNA is in need of a special, patient home. She was a hand-in and when brought to us we were told she was friendly and easygoing. However, Luna is a frightened, timid little cat who hates the presence of the other animals. The previous owner later told us that Luna hid away all day and only came out at night. Was she frightened by the children?
We are looking for a quiet home where she'll be allowed to become confident and able to relax. If you think you have the patience needed and could offer this little girl an environment in which she'll be comfortable, please get in touch. Luna is two years old, neutered and microchipped.
