Additionally, we received $340 in online donations and a $50 Walmart gift card, bringing the grand total to $1,033 for Fairy Tails Rescue with Daisy Care’s 2nd Annual Daisy Care 4 ME Fundraiser: Helping Paws for a Cause 🐾💗! Your contributions will make a significant impact on this year's chosen 501c3 Maine Animal Rescue, and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity.
Thank you to my number one supporter, Robert Cormiea Jr., as always for helping to keep my head on straight and my spirit up when feeling down, defeated, or frustrated. And for dedicating so much time to help make my dreams come true. For all those who have never participated in making a fundraiser event happen the work is no joke and each year I am continuing to learn something new.
We want to thank all our family, friends, and clients (who let’s face it -are more like friends 🥰) who helped in getting things together, gathering donations, reaching out to places for donations, distributing flyers, letting us borrow tables, offering their assistance to help set up and take down. The outpouring amount of support was astounding to see and truly appreciated.
While we certainly faced some challenges with so many local companies and restaurants not caring to give us the time of day or the common courtesy of a polite response we were able to shine through and make things happen with all the amazing folks and companies who did and we will always remember their kindness when doing or referring business in the future!

🐾🐱 Our sweet kitty Chloe has been through a rough few days, but her bond with her sissy during a morning cuddle session gave us so much joy! Chloe had been battling what we thought was an impacted hairball, which can be a serious issue requiring surgery if left untreated.
We noticed Chloe was unable to keep her food down and was experiencing discomfort. We were worried sick and closely monitored her symptoms. It started with occasional coughing after eating, which soon became more persistent. We researched and learned that coughing without expelling a hairball could indicate an obstruction.
To help Chloe pass the hairball naturally, we added fish oils to her diet. However, this resulted in diarrhea, another sign of a possible obstruction. Concerned and unsure if it was a hairball or asthma, we switched to a bland diet of chicken, rice, and broth. Eventually, Chloe passed a smaller hairball, but the diarrhea persisted.
We observed ups and downs in Chloe’s condition, and on Saturday night, she seemed fine. However, early Sunday morning, she showed signs of distress, vomiting up tightly packed hairballs and rice. We feared a trip to the emergency vet was inevitable. Thankfully, Chloe settled down and napped through a couple of meals.
To aid her digestion, we introduced a hairball supplement to her food, which acts as a lubricant. We anxiously watched her feeding, fearing further complications. Fortunately, Chloe showed signs of improvement, bathing herself and behaving more normally. We continued monitoring her closely, and she has been acting more her energetic happy self since then. This afternoon she even had a good 💩💓
