Here's Tootsie minutes after being placed in a carrier going to her foster home. Listen to that purr!!!
Hi, just popping in to say hello! Just wanted to let you know I’m doing great in my forever home. ❤️ ~ Cricket
To Miagi, his life is full of love and purrs!
Fosters Make A Difference! People willing to foster is how we can save more lives!
Sid had his second acupuncture treatment and did great! He now seems to walk along walls to steady himself and actually sits in a natural position which he was unable to do until recently. Although his walking skills are not great, he can jump and get to where he wants to go. He now weighs in at 2.4 lbs! ❤
He is in constant motion so please forgive the blurry pictures.
As you can see, Cricket is still playing it up! She is usually too busy running and playing to stop for any cuddle time so her foster mom Emily is loving the loving. She's doing great.
Sid has a way of making his needs known if he doesn't see anyone, he screeches! Since he must be confined because he can't walk yet, the collapsible playpen was not working because it is too big to move from room to room. So he now has a portable playpen made out of a laundry basket! He plays nonstop which is a great way to improve his coordination. Now that Sid is happy, we are all happy!! Play on Sid!
(He is never left unattended while in his playpen)
Cricket is getting big and so spunky! Enjoy the weekend folks! ❤
Have a great weekend! Find something fun to do just like Cricket does every day. #lovinglife
Hope you had a great weekend! Thank you all for your support of our special needs animals!
Wondering how Cricket gets around? Well take a look....just like any other kitten! #lovinglife
Hoppy Easter weekend from Dory & all of us at Joa's Arc 💗🐾
We wanted you to see how Cricket gets around. She has no pain and nothing stops her. Oh and she is very vocal! Every dog in the waiting room was on alert because she wasn't happy being confined in her carrier. She's sassy and fabulous! 💖
After a thorough exam by Dr Coudrai, our favorite orthopedic surgeon and Xrays, Cricket has a diagnosis! Radial Agenesis which simply means she was born with complete abscense of the radial bones in both front limbs therefore she will never be able to bear weight on her front paws.
Many cats with this disability scoot around and some eventually learn to walk on their hind legs and are called "Kangaroo Cats". There is no treatment for this and it doesn't stop her from getting around, eating, playing and doing everything any two pound kitten does. She is amazing and she melted the hearts of everyone who met her. Her foster mom Emily was excited to meet her and will shower her with love!
Cricket is blessed and we are glad she is part of our Joa's Arc family. 💖
