QUICK CANVAS SIZE GUIDE
5" x 7" Pet Portrait - head or body study of small animals, eg: rats, hamsters etc or four seperate canvases with picture across all four.
12" x 9" - Pet Portrait - Head study of small dog or cat, or full body of a rodent, bird or reptile
14" x 11" Pet Portrait - head study of a large dog or a horse, a full body study of a small or medium dog or a cat, or alternatively two or three small or medium dog or cat head studys.
16" x 12" Pet Portrait - large dog or horse full body studies, or small group portraits.
18" x 14" Pet Portrait - large group portraits. The size guide above is purely a suggestion based on my experience. The size you choose is up to you. Please be aware that in a small Pet Portrait of a large subject it is not possible to show large amounts of detail.
