Let's talk management for puppies! . Willie is 7 months old and is "a terror" and "destroying the house." He does fairly well being crated or gated in the bathroom, but becomes destructive when he is out in the rest of the house and not actively doing something. Since he is staying with me, Willie is starting to earn his freedom. Slowly. We started with a crate in the living room, where he could watch the action, but not really participate. He spent short periods of time in there settling while I moved around, ate meals etc. He gets plenty of enrichment, training and naps in the bathroom during the day, and has now graduated to a playpen in the living room where he gets to practice making good choices and learning to settle himself down, and then he goes back to the bathroom for a nap before he gets cranky! . . . #sundogpetcare #sundogtrainingnyc #cavapoo #cavapoochonsofinstagram #puppy

"Shhhhh. I'm hunting wabbits." Give your pup some time to follow their nose. If you don't have an area where they can find their own trail to follow, make your own scent games at home! Dab some vanilla extract on a paper towel, and put it in a container. Have a few similar, empty containers and let your dogs explore! If they sniff the one with the vanilla, give them a big reward!!
