Despite the snow, we had a really good turn out for our February Vaccine Clinic!

We are happy to be able to provide the community with low cost vaccines and microchips once a month. Hopefully this will give opportunities to those that simply cannot afford their yearly wellness items to keep their pets protected!

We are happy to announce that we will be offering a monthly Vaccine Clinic.

One Saturday a month, the clinic will be open from 10am-4pm for vaccines to the general public. This is a great way to get your pet's annual vaccines at a lower cost.

-We do require you to pre-register. If you show up on a day without pre-registering, you will not be seen. This will insure that we have enough volunteers, vaccines and time and it will also prevent long lines.

-We do require dogs to be leashed and cats to be in carriers.

-Please make sure that you only sign up if your pet is handleable, we will not be accepting aggressive animals.

- Cash or Credit Card only and there will be a 4% credit card fee

-More services and vaccines will be added throughout the year as we get to know what people are looking for.

We are closed today so we can attend the 3 day Veterinarany conference downtown!

This is an annual conference that brings together veterinary professionals from all over to discuss cutting edge diagnostics and treatment as well and current legislation and any changes within our community.

Our goal and mission is to be able to provide quality and affordable veterinary practices to all levels of animal care. From rescues and shelters to people who simply can afford top of the line care, we strive to continue our education on the ever evolving field ❤️

Also this week, we used our brand new full body digital xray for the first time!

We took in a sweet momma shepherd to RPAW rescue before the holidays and have noticed she has a limp. Thankfully we were able to get her in for her spay this week and quickly get some images of her hips.

The whole reason we started this clinic was to service the numerous medical cases RPAW rescue takes in every year. We needed a place where we could get diagnostics and treatment right away when we needed it. We didn't have to wait for appointments or transportation arrangements. We could just do it right at the clinic.

You continued support and donations make this possible. We have a long way to paying off the loans we had to take out to make this place a reality. If you are able to donate please know that every dollar goes directly to serving these animals.

Today was another monumental day!

We had our first Specialty Surgery!!!

Pip is with Camp Kitten rescue and he had fractured his pelvis last month. He needed a special orthopedic procedure called a Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO). We had a wonderful board certified surgeon in the clinic to preform this surgery. 5 month old Pip is well on his way to living a long happy life :)

This clinic continues to open doors for rescues/shelters/sanctuaries to provide the necessary care to their animals at an affordable cost.

HOORAY!!!
Our first ever vaccine clinic was a great success! Not only did we raise $871 for RPAW, but 20 dogs and 14 cats are now up to date with vaccines and their owners had access to care because of our discounted rates ❤️

We are so happy that this Wellness Center is continuing to find ways to make sure every pet owner can provide the very best care to their best friends!

Remember, this will be a MONTHLY event.

***Also remember that if you are unable to make it, we have more requests than actual appointments and when you don't show up and you don't let us know that is taking up a spot for someone who could have really used the slot.

Also a HUGE shout out to all of the volunteers, especially Dr. Hanson. We couldn't have had this event without them!

As we close out 2024... we can't help but think about what will come in 2025!
We first started taking patients October 1st 2024 and these are the monthly numbers since. We are thrilled to be able to help somewhere in the rescue and animal community. We didn't think we would be a huge feral clinic but that is the majority of our patients and we think it's fabulous!

The other amazing part about our clinic that sets us apart from others is that we are a non-profit and any money that we take in we use to first keep the lights on and the doctor paid, but then anything above that goes right back into the animals of RPAW rescue. No one is over here getting rich off veterinary care and we do our absolute best to keep our costs as low as possible for the community so that everyone has access.

THANK YOU ALL for your support this past year while making this dream a reality and remember... this is just to beginning!

We could REALLY use more potty pads! We go through a ton and we try to send our kitties friends home with one in their carrier post op.
The 28x30 fit perfectly in our kennels at the clinic but any size works! The smaller pads work best for carriers and live traps for ferals.

Feel free to drop them off at the clinic anytime, if we aren't open, the bench by the clinic opens and you can put them inside. We don't have door step pirates so all is good 😉

Last week was a blur! A holiday week which meant pack all the surgeries possible into 2 days! We did 27 on Tuesday and then 18 on Wednesday!

Thankfully we had a little break to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends ❤️

We are beyond thankful for everyone that has been apart of this little clinic with the huge mission!

This test is different that taking a f***l sample and just looking at it under the microscope. This test actually detects the proteins of 20 different parasite species.

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL of you!

This is our first Thanksgiving and we cannot even begin to list the reasons we are thankful!

The community has accepted us with open arms and we have already met so many amazing people and animals. We opened with the attitude that we were going to somehow make a difference, no matter how big or small. We just want to help people and animals.

Thank you so much for all of the support while we embark on this crazy journey! We have so much in store ;)
