For some personal reasons I stopped sewing about 6 months ago - since then no funds have been raised for any rescues. I've struggled to motivate myself and get going again and it's been frustrating. 🤯
Tonight I saw this post by Kim's Home for Elderly/Abused Dogs. We have helped this lovely lady and her dogs before and her quiet and dignified request for support has given me the nudge I need to get back into action. The order books are open - my act is together!! Let the snuggle caving begin. I will message everyone who has enquired for a snuggle cave - so check your inboxes. And please, if anyone else would like to order a cave comment here or message me 🥰
All profits will go to Kim's Home
I don't thank the Kim's Home supporters enough. You keep Kim's Home going. I could not afford to look after 19 dogs on my pension, that's for sure. When things go wrong and I have an enormous vet bill, I know that you will always help me to cover it. Some of you pay a fixed sum donation to Kim's Home every month and this is the backbone of our funding. Special fundraisers are there to provide a pot for unexpected events.
Some of the money that is donated goes to other rescues. I have 4, soon to be 3, sponsor dogs with the Care and Compassion for Bals dogs in Romania. Sometimes, when I publicise old dogs, especially Romanian dogs, and I find someone who would love to give the dog a home but can't afford the transport as well as the adoption fee, then, when I can, I wiill help.
All the rest goes to keeping the dogs who live with me in the manner to which they have been accustomed. It also pays for their vet bills which are usually frequent for very old dogs.
Times are hard. As from tomorrow there are going to be increases in the cost of gas and electricity. Fuel prices are already high. So I understand why some of you have had to stop sending donations to Kim's Home. It is sad and it makes things a bit difficult but I just make savings where I can - without making the dogs suffer, of course. At present Kim's Home funds are really low.
If there is anyone who hasn't really thought about making a monthly contribution and would like to start now, this is the information that you need. Paypal: [email protected] or Bank Transfer

If you wish to donate by cheque, please send me a message and I will explain where to send it.
Whether it's an occasional donation or a monthly sum, I thank you all very much. In future I will not be taking in any more dogs. But I will help dogs in trouble where I can - without them coming to live with me :-)
As I sit at my desk, this is what I see to my left. Aren't they worth all the touble, cost and worry?
