Hudson is a beautiful domestic short haired cat that is up for adoption! He’s about 11-12 weeks old and full of energy! He was a bit nervous when we first brought him in, but most usually are when they see Akela. After some time he has grown comfortable and now runs around wherever he pleases. He loves to eat (a determined foodie) and will chase you down if he thinks you have something tasty! We’ll keep posting photos and try to maintain the daily advent calendar. Made a small leather dog toy for Akela! It didn’t last long before being destroyed but it was still fun! 😂 we’ve also made dog toys from old socks that we stuffed with other socks and a crinkle material for noise. Can y’all think of some creative dog toy ideas?

Arlo the adventure cat taking a break from his adventure backpack. We’ve learned that Arlo also likes to explore and will let us know when he is upset (for not taking him on the adventures he smells on our shoes and pants lol) Since he was a small kitten, we have taken him around on adventures with us, we’re not sure how “adventurous” he would be if we hadn’t.

One of our submissions for their photo competition. An adventure with Akela is an adventure for me! We love the outdoors and now that it’s cooling down outside we may end up outdoors more often than not. If you decide to go on some adventures, wether it’s a nice walk or a vigorous hike, make sure to pack the essentials for it. On any adventure we always have bug wipes, binoculars, sunblock, water, and a portable dog bowl. Stay safe, stay curious.

DogPark fun with Chief (grey Husky mix) and Bucky (red Husky)! These three were all over the place, in and out of the water, having a blast! Akela really enjoys walking in the water especially during the summer heat. What does your dog do to stay cool?

Arlo the Adventure Cat has a book recommendation for us all! He is laying on “What Cats Want” by Japan’s leading cat Doctor, Dr. Yuki Hattori. It dives into things from behavior signs, health warnings, to tips and tricks for new owners all in an illustrated guide.

She is calm and peaceful yet curious and energetic. She is a sunbather by the window and an explorer of the previously unopened doors. Full of soft love but sometime anxious. She is tucked by your side napping and not afraid to speak up when disturbed. She enjoys routine and nature gazing (from inside her home of course). She misses you while your away and seeks your attention when you return. She does not care for treats but snacks on dog food. She is what love would be if love could walk on all fours. 🐾
Bug got adopted! Thank you all for spreading the word and helping out in one way or another. From likes and comments, to shares and notepads. Together we helped 6 cats get adopted!

We have made some small notebooks using materials in effort to get Bug adopted and to raise awareness of the Akela project. We even attached a photo of Bug herself onto each book and we will be giving these away locally! We hope that the increased exposure will help Bug get adopted! These booklets are small enough to fit anywhere and you never know when you’ll need to write something down! Thanks to these booklets are weather resistant and can even survive a washing machine! We have been using Rite in the Rain products for years now and trust our memories/notes on their products. For adoption information, please contact us through direct message. Have a great day!

This is Bug, the snuggle bug. Her favorite toy right now is a coiled up chenille stem, but she is greatly appreciative of any toy we toss her way. She is always looking for places to explore (rooms that have been inaccessible to her until we open the door), and she is a sweet kitten who is great with our dog and cat. She has been vaccinated with her first kitten vaccine and dewormed. She loves to hang out her animal and human friends (a very social bug indeed). She is also a curious kitten who we usually find snuggling next to us in the morning, hence where she got her name.

Hey y’all! We are excited to announce that Biscuit has officially found her forever home! She will continue to ‘make biscuits’ with her lovely owner. Thank you to everyone for supporting . Thank you for liking, sharing, and commenting on our content, and for helping give these babies a place to call their own. On our road trip to her new owner, she got to experience her very first ‘kit cup’ 🍦from and she absolutely loved it! The employees also loved giving it, which was just as much of a treat for us 😝

Hey everyone! Bug is in search of her forever home. She will be 3 months old on July 28, is super energetic and brave, is tolerant of dogs, and a cuddle bug at night (hence her name). She is very cute and will give you a good purr every so often if you pet her just right! Can you help us help her find her forever home? She is currently located in Bryan, Texas, but we are willing to drive her several hours through Texas to help her find her new family.

Chani learned how to “sit” and she’ll do it all for a hearty new venison chew stick! She’s looking for someone to grow with and learn from. Can you help us find Chani her forever home? She weighs about 60 lbs. She is a blue heeler mix, spayed, and with all her yearly vaccinations. She is not food aggressive, or aggressive in any manor. She’s super sweet and calm while indoors and she loves going to the dog park for some evening sprints. Please like and share so we can find her a forever home. Check out Chani’s dog park sprint video! She loves to run around at the park and she gets along great with all the dogs she meets (and don’t forget she gets along with Arlo the cat too). When we’re at home she spends her time switching beds and playing with Akela and Arlo. She’s a quiet girl and she’s house trained as well! She likes laying next to her foster dad while he’s working and if she’s not in the bedroom she’s by his side in the office. Info.: Chani has been great with us, she has not damaged anything in our home. She is calm and quiet. Loud sudden noises make her run in place for a second and then she quickly calms down again. Her curly tail spins in circles when she is happy as if she is about to take off in flight. She weighs 60 lbs and is a little over 1 year old.
