Hi friends! Sally Cookie Therapy Dog had another seizure this morning. She’s had three so far this month and both of us are having arthritis problems this week. We are going to continue taking a break from doing Pet therapy until things improve. I just scheduled a neurologist appointment for her at the end of August to see if they recommend any modifications in her care. Hopefully, we will be able to go to the CMH picnic and see some of our friends there. Outside of that, she is doing pretty well. She is recovered from her bee sting incident!

Special thank you to Eileen Delaney for taking us to Michigan State today so we could provide some support. Right before I was going to leave a girl that we’d seen earlier in our volunteer shift came back and said she was so happy to still see us there. She was telling me about how she was alone in her dorm room last year and was scared. Her roommate was out of town.with Sally Cookie Therapy Dog and Meili Therapy Dog

The MSU Libraries will be holding a reflective space in our Green Room on Feb. 13 beginning at 9:00 a.m. as an option for our community members looking to have some quiet time during this difficult week. We will be offering Community Coloring in our Makerspace that day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well, with snack bags available in the Main Library lobby courtesy of Libraries staff. The Green Room will also be open on Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for folks looking to take a break that day with some coffee and coloring. Sending much love to our this week and always. 💚🤍💚
