I have been getting plenty of requests about UPCOMING BERNEDOODLES and so it is time for a litter pupdate!
I couldnt pass up on the opportunity to share this adorable photo of past Bernedoodle Choclo in his perfectly scruffy, muppet-esque, pre-haircut stage while I am at it, too. 😍 I think he is just the perfect amount of scruffy here but of course, I am not the one having to brush him (anymore). Ha!

We were strongly considering a winter litter with our superstar of a mama, Bernese Mountain Dog, Pepper. If you have been following us for awhile now then you may know that a winter Bernedoodle litter is kind of our rhythm. However, winter litters are admittedly a lot trickier. For new puppy families, taking a young puppy out to potty in the cold is a bit less pleasant and so here's no denying that the demand for spring and summer puppies is higher. Our Bernese and Bernedoodles surely dont mind the cold but we humans do!

So the plan is to wait one more cycle and look ahead to a spring litter of 50/50 Bernedoodles. This means we are hoping for an April(ish) litter arrival and June(ish) send home time. This will probably be our last F1 litter for a while and most likely Pepper's last time as a mama! F1B puppies will be close behind those and then we start looking into multigen pups beyond those babies.

I have not chosen a daddy yet for Pepper's next litter. If you're interested in getting on the wait list for one of these puppies please let me know what you're looking for: black and white, merle, tricolor, etc. I can't make any promises but I'd love to know peoples preferences as we consider sire options. This beautiful Sheepadoodle brainiac, Loretta, is officially ready for bigger challenges and we love to see it! The sky is truly the limit when doodle pawrents are committed to finding out what their dog is capable of. These pups LOVE to learn!

🗨️Let's chat training for a moment!

In the last several years we have seen a big increase in the number of families interested in using their doodle for therapy purposes. Knowing that our pups bring love and joy to their homes is so fulfilling for us- it is quite literally the fuel that keeps us doing what we do. And so to know that many of our doodle doggos are also bringing love, happiness and healing to both their families AND others in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools and beyond ... it is just incredibly encouraging!

So what makes our Bernedoodles and Sheepadoodles excellent candidates for therapy dogs? There are so many reasons: their coats, their loving, affectionate and outgoing dispositions, their amazing trainability and their eagerness to please! And as we move into a season where we will be raising more F1B puppies for a bit I anticipate seeing even more of these traits truly standing out. Its a great time to reach out if therapy work is something you may be interested in pursuing for your future pup.

Summertime Sheepadoodle smiles coming your way! 🛥️☀️

I've been receiving so many fun photos and updates of our puppies out there enjoying their summers. We all love summertime but I think dogs must love it the most: swimming around in pools and lakes, walks and hikes in new areas, visiting new parks, pup cups and popsicles and the best part: extra time spent with their favorite humans-- (even if that happens to be on a nice cold floor in the a/c: bernedoodles im looking at you)! ❄️

Scout is a prime example as he recently experienced his very first camping trip with his family. Here's what his mom had to say:

"I just gotta say you produce some real amazing pups!!! We just got back from being in TC camping for a week and Scout (Rye) was absolutely amazing! We received so many compliments on how well mannered he was for being a puppy. Doesn't bark at people or other dogs unless someone came on to our site. He did so well at the dunes being around so many people and was just content to be with him people on adventures! "

Happy 4th of July, pups and peeps! Hoping EVERYONE is able to safely enjoy the howliday!! 🇺🇲

I always encourage everyone to consider keeping your pup home from any festivities you may be attending. The 4th holds many potential dangers for dogs: from anxiety-induced wandering/running off to possibly ingesting something they shouldn't. If your pup is not a fan of the "big booms" (like mine!) it is probably best to not take a chance. Allow them to cuddle up comfortably at home with some quiet background music to help ease their fears and drown out the noise.

But however you celebrate, have fun and God bless America!❤️🤍💙

Huckleberry (previously Pumpernickel from our "Little Loaves" Sheepadoodle litter) has been meeting new milestones and loving it!

In a recent update his pawrents reported that Huckleberry has graduated from puppy preschool AND was named the champion of his class' "Sit/Stay" competition-- making his mama VERY proud indeed. Huckleberry recently got his very first haircut, too, and he is looking so so handsome and very much like a big boy now. My favorite of all are the photos of Huckleberry and his two older siblings, Captain and Olive. He has been slowly integrating into his new pack and it's looking like they have become quite the adorable family now.

We know there's nothing but more good days ahead for Huckleberry! 🩷

It's time for our ninth and final Little Loaves Sheepadoodle pupdate and this one is for the oh-so-handsome and oh-so precious Pita pupper! 🫓

Pita's new family has renamed him Dallas! (So cute and great nickname options like Dale and Dally Boy, too.) Dallas has been home for a couple of weeks now with his fantastic new family and they are off to SUCH a strong start already. Here's what his new mom had to say:

"Dallas (Dally Boy) is growing so fast! He’s doing great with potty training, crate training, loves to play with his soft toys that squeak and his all time favorite activity is running the yard with his fur brothers and little human! We have been working on leash training and he’s doing absolutely wonderful. He’s such a smart, gentle boy! Dallas begins puppy school on May 16th. After he graduates puppy academy, him and one of his fur brothers will be starting basic obedience together with Mom and Dad."

We are so thankful for the WONDERFUL placements for each of our Little Loaves pups! We always pray with each litter that our puppies will be well-loved for a lifetime and that they will also spread joy and be a blessing in the lives of their new families. It's clear from the feedback we are already getting that these little pups are doing just that! We are so thankful.

Do you remember the adorable Challah? He has been home for a little bit now and he is clearly loving his new life as Duke!

Duke has the sweetest family of humans and a new big sister in Bernedoodle Daphne, who immediately welcomed him in. Duke and Daphne just seem destined to be besties for life! Here's what Dukes new family has to say about their new little guy:

"Everything is still going well over here with Duke! He's fitting in well with Daphne and everyone loves having him around! He sleeps great at night, knows his name and a few commands. We are excited to watch Daphne and Duke grow up together! ❤️"

We had so many of our Sheepadoodle pups go home to become second or even third dogs this time around. We love to see it-- everyone needs to have a best friend! 💕❤️

🥯 The adorable Bagel buddy has been in his new home for about a month now which means his pupdate is overdue!

Bagel is now Kirby- the sp***y (albeit slightly p***y) little brother pup in a household of now 3 doodle boys. His new pack consists of Hoover the eldest (Goldendoodle) brother and Bissell - an actual blood brother and previous Carrots and Pinto puppy from our Vegetable Garden litter.

Kirby is keeping big brother Bissell entertained and well exercised, while Hoover looks on and probably rolls his eyes a bit at the two Sheepadoodles as they wrestle nearby. The three pups make an adorable pack and matching brothers Bissell and Kirby are certainly the cutest Sheepadoodle duo around town.

❤️ There's no higher compliment than to have previous puppy clients return for a second pup! We were thrilled to get to place another puppy in the hands of Kirby's amazing parents. They love their pups immensely and we were over the moon to send Kirby into such a loving and qualified home as theirs! He is one well loved little pupper!! Two paws up for another happy pupdate! 🐾

It's well past time for a pupdate on Brioche. She has been home for a month now!

Brioche's new identity is as Willow - best friend forever to big brother Winston! Hers is one of those stories where a family loves a dog SO much that they go out and buy him a dog of his own! (We had a few of those this time around!) Two year old Winston is from our Adventure Sheepadoodle litter and when his parents heard that this was the final litter for his parents they knew it was time to pull the trigger and get another.

Mom and Dad describe Willow as "a little spicy". She loves car rides, crumbs off the floor, and true to her Sheepdog roots, she even nips at ankles when excited (working on that one!) 😂 Everyone loves her, though--Winston especially! Like a good big brother he even got nervous for her when she was put up on the exam table at her vet checkup! These two pups are two peas in a pod and no doubt, they each have a built in bestie for life. ❤️

So often I have people say "I don't know how you do it. I could never let these puppies leave, it would be too hard." And let me tell you-- it is hard to see them go! But messages like this one that I received from Rye (now Scout)'s family is EXACTLY why I can let my puppies leave for new families:

"I just have to say how much we love Scout! He is so calm and mellow. He really is the best of both worlds!! Loves to play with the kids, his favorite thing ever is just laying in the tall grass outside, and he is the BEST snuggler! He's turned into my co pilot and runs all the errands with me, snuggles next to me while I'm working, and the kids have found it amusing to come steal him at night and take him into their room to sleep. He has brought so much happiness back to our family that we were missing. 💙 "

Our little babies bring so much joy to their new families and honestly, I am just as addicted to spreading that kind of happiness as I am addicted to puppy breath. We are all so happy for Scout and his new family. He's right where he should be!

Our sweet little Sheepadoodle Babka left Doodledoo Farm a few weeks ago and he has been known as "Benny" ever since. Benny has the best-ever new family and we have been loving the happy reports we have been receiving from them over Benny's first few weeks at home!

Everyone in the family is playing their part and helping out with their new furry family member, which is always awesome to see! I love how a new puppy gets the whole family involved!! I have no doubt that Benny is loving all of the attention from his new kiddos and playmates, too. And speaking of playmates, Benny also has a border collie big sister who is warming up well to him, also.

It's easy to see that Benny is surrounded by love and attention in his new home. We just love to see him looking so loved! Keep up the great work, Benny and family! 🐾❤️

Beautiful Baguette has been home for several weeks now and it's safe to say she's been making the most of her time! Baguette's new name is Maizey!! Her days consist of hanging out in the principals office but not because she's naughty -- her new mom is the school principal and she has goals of getting Maizey certified as a therapy dog. How amazing is that?!

Maizey's pawrents also shared this about her :

"Maizey is loving the long walks through the area parks. She gets so much attention from passer-by's that just want to give her love too! She's 90% there with housetraining, but already knows the "sit" command. She doesn't start classes until May 12th, but I already know she's going to ace it. She's still figuring out her relationship with Bean the cat, but we think it's more him than her. Her favorite toy right now is the lion stuffie. Or is it the bone? Maybe her tail, that she's recently discovered? Either way, she's just the best!"

It's no wonder that Maizey grabs attention when she's out and about- her markings and sweet little face are just too cute!! We can't wait to follow along with Maizey's future adventures and just love that her parents have such amazing goals for her. They're already off to an amazing start! 👏❤️

Crumpet has been home for nearly a week now where, I am happy to report, she is settling in beautifully as Pearl!🩷

Here is what Pearl's new mom has to say about her:

"Literally doesn't get better than this girl! She is such a blessing to us! SO lazy 🤣🤣🤣. Sleeps better than my boys do. We love her SO much!"

Sweet little girl Pearl has made herself right at home. Her family says she is already figuring out to go to the door to go potty, sleeping quietly in her crate at night, and is "a literal angel". Pearl has transitioned so well into her new family- we couldn't ask for a happier ending and new beginning for this gorgeous girl!! 💕🩷💕🩷💕💕🩷

This one is such a fun pupdate: Bernedoodle puppy "Buttered Rum" is now in her forever home and has the new name Lili! Her big sister, Sunflower, is also a DoodleDoo Farm Bernedoodle and so we were just thrilled to place a second pup with this amazing family. Sunflower is warming up to Lili and as you can see, Lili is learning the ropes and doing a great job of giving her big sister a run for her money! ❤️ To quote Lili's new mama: "I think because of the snow that house breaking is easier with this cold weather breed. She has been doing great with going potty outside, doing her business and coming in. No sniffing the grass and wandering around not getting things done. She had one accident yesterday, I blame [us].
