RECEPTIONIST/ ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT REQUIRED

We are now looking for a new member to join the office team at Talland. 6 month trial temporary to permanent contract. We are looking for a part time administrative assistant on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 34 hours per week – extra hours may be required for holiday cover.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused individual to work in our office, it is a varied job role to include (but not limited to):

•Helping to produce newsletters

•Taking lesson bookings, face to face, over the phone and via email

•Organising Holiday/Short course packages.

•Showing prospective clients and students around the facilities and discussing our course options

•Taking payments from clients

•Showing clients to their horses/ Instructor and potentially helping them to the school and to mount their horses

•Keeping records of lessons given and payments made

•Liaising with staff members to maintain the smooth running of the school

Knowledge of the equine industry and experience with horses is essential

Previous admin experience required (or transferrable skills). We would preferably like the new team to be confident using MS Office and the use of WordPress is an advantage along with strong computer skills as we will be moving on an online booking platform in the near future.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who is highly organized and used to working in a fast-paced environment, where you will be required to think on your feet and must have excellent attention to details.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Equine First and child safeguarding would be a bonus, but training will be provided.

Wage dependent on experience

LIVERY SPACES AVAILABLE

I have a couple of spaces available for assisted diy part or full livery and breaking schooling or rehabilitation livery. I've got over 30yrs experience with a whole range of horses.
My yard is just outside Tetbury and it's a small relaxed yard of a maximum of 12 horses. I don't have an arena but have plenty of off road hacking grass arenas and jumps. Please pm or WhatsApp me for more info

! I took Baggy to Beaufort Hunt Supporters Show on Wednesday to do the Intermediate Working Hunter class, which he was foot perfect in and WON!! Then of to Great Tew today for the Cotswold Cup ODE, for a 32.5 dressage and a cracking double clear inside the time for 6th!! So lucky to be able to compete this cracking horse 💕💕🥰🥰🎉🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾 I have to say that the ground on Wednesday and again today really couldn't have been better and thanks to all the amazing volunteers who give up their time, so that we can compete xx

On Sunday I took Bag of Diamonds aka Baggy to his 1st ode of the season, a nice test for 33.8 lovely clear sj, one unlucky run past a skinny, which dropped us out of the places, but this morning I received this email from Jo Lane from the ode, to say that I was surprised is an understatement!! Chuffed 🥰🥰

For anybody who heard about Jean's fall today, she's at Southmead being well looked after and recovering. Cannot thank the amazing crew of the Wiltshire Air ambulance who were there so quickly and they were fantastic as always. As you are all aware the air ambulance service doesn't have any government funding, so if anyone wants to donate they would appreciate it I have spoken with Jean's family before posting this x
