From her first day in business, Heather understood her clients would choose a grooming team who treat their pet like family, can be trusted to create a stress-free experience with extraordinary empathy, and integrate holistic health and wellness practices into their grooming regimen.
As a young groomer, Heather developed a specialized expertise handling and rehabilitating scared, abused, or traumatized pets— all while running a no-kill kennel and honing her grooming skills.
“After 21 years of seeing the same thing over and over, you develop a trained eye and hands-on approach that helps identify current or potential problems. Ear infections, tooth decay, abscesses, painful movement— we’ve seen it all and help the client inform their vet right away. When grooming, it’s also important to slow down and take your time to better understand the full scope of any anxiety, fear, or past trauma. Animals work off our energy, so if you’re stressed, scared, or anxious, your pet will be too.”
Calm touch. Healing energy. For Heather, going the extra mile means being CPR-certified and trained in the energy healing method, Reiki. Each member of her team is a fellow CPR-certified groomer, who’s been trained to look for body language cues and warning signals from animals. From past triggers and separation anxiety to physical trauma, her team eases it all during the grooming process.
