#POTM So about eight months ago, a friend of mine sent me a post for Betty's adoption. The organization conducted adoption and re-homing of adult and senior dogs. 🐾So my husband and I decided to try fostering as we had plans of adopting a pup anyways. But then we heard Betty's story and something clicked.And a month later, we officially had Betty home and now my day starts and ends with her. We were informed beforehand about her past experiences, but despite that she trusted us from the get-go and made our home on her own overnight. Betty taught us that there is no age or bar to bring a pup home because all they know is how to love us, even if they've had bad experiences previously. Sure, she is a handful sometimes and tougher to train than a puppy, but the first time she showed us her belly and fell asleep like that, and the first time she came to cuddle with us, those moments made everything worth it.❤️Giving a mistreated dog a home, a safe place has been an experience I would recommend to anyone who wants to be a pet parent.
