Peace for Paws Ohio was founded August 24, 2011 in Dublin, Ohio, by a group of dedicated animal lovers. Before forming Peace for Paws Ohio, the members individually volunteered at various Ohio shelters and a large-scale hoarding rescue, and were involved in promoting animal protection legislation in Ohio. Foster Dog’s Veterinary Care
The organization primarily rescues animals from kill shelters in
Ohio and surrounding states. Due to the high volume of urgent or “death row” dogs, the organization does not accept owner surrenders. Each animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, microchipped, heartworm negative and de-wormed prior to adoption. All animals are on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. Outside normal veterinary care, the organization also provides any additional veterinary care due to sickness or injury. The organization treats heartworm positive dogs and provides surgeries when necessary. We have relationships with Veterinary practices around Columbus including: Health & Harmony, OSU Veterinary Hospital in Dublin, MedVet, East Hilliard Veterinary Services, Rascal Animal Hospital and VCA Animal Hospital. We rely heavily on the generous donations of the public to help fund these efforts. To make a donation, click here
Funding Our Efforts
In addition to public donations, the organization has fundraisers throughout the year. Bids, Barks & Beats Silent Auction raises 10% of the organization’s annual income. Spud defines good boy as he approaches life with an easy going happy nature. His favorite past times are laying in the grass sniffing the air, playing with foster doberman sibling or lounging on the couch with the cat. He is 2 years old.
He is easily adaptable, relaxed and eager for belly rubs. Spud would make a great addition to an established or new pet owner for an all American family dog.
We are having issues with Petfinder, but want to confirm that Spud is good with other dogs. Cats and has been tested with chickens.

Do you recognize this pup? She was found running near 117 and Holden in the Lima area. Possibly has had babes recently. She has a collar on but no tags. 😞 A Good Samaritan has her for the evening and will take her in the morning to be scanned for a microchip.

We have been tag several times for the unthinkable situation in Sunbury. If anyone can foster now is the time. Our friends Rico Pet Recovery are helping clear the shelter. She’s gentle and kind and overall a fantastic girl. Sasha is a 1 yr old mixed breed. She is on the smaller side at 38 lbs and looking for her perfect valentine! ❤️❤️Is that you? ❤️❤️
COMING SOON! We have puppies! Jack and Pepper are two lovely puppy boys. There foster says they are energetic and love to cuddle and play.😍
Next up is Neville! 🐾 Neville is growing up so fast! He loves to play with his foster sister and is a joy to watch. 🎾 You may remember Neville has a liver shunt but as you can see it does not slow him down. His surgery is scheduled for 4/12 with a few weeks of recovery after. Dr. Kris tells us after surgery it is expected he will live a long healthy happy life. ❤️🐾 As you can see we’ve stepped up to help several medical pups so fundraising is ramping up. So far we’ve raised about 1/2 of the cost of Neville’s surgery because of our fantastic supporters here as well as the Chili Cookoff. We are working on a few other fundraisers for both Bernie and Neville- so keep an eye out. If you like a chihuahua personality — you’ll be charmed by Tupac! He loves to cuddle with his human, bask in the sun and go for car rides. He is an active guy who likes to run in the backyard, play with toys and go for walks. He does take a bit to warm up to new people, and needs an experienced owner to help him navigate social interactions. He is dog-selective, but would love a confident playmate. He is house and crate-trained. He does take daily medication for anxiety, and is working on obedience training. He will make a wonderful companion for the right person!
Momma Nina and her babies are feeling normal again! There final medvet bill was just over $8000 but it was money well spent to ensure they are all healthy. 🥰 If you’d like to donate toward their care, every dollar helps.
