BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
To all of my valued clients,
I hope this letter finds you well. It has been a privilege to know you and to care for your horses over these many years. That being said, I regret to inform you that I will be moving out of state. I am leaving you with best wishes for the health and happiness of you and your horses. Although I’m excited about my new direction, I will miss the wonderful patients and clients that I am leaving behind.
In an effort to ensure that you are well cared for in my departure, I have made the decision to sell my veterinary practice. Going forward, Dr. Samantha Abair and her associate Dr. Brenda Stadelmann at Topline Equine Veterinary Inc. will be providing you with excellent equine veterinary services. Be assured that they have your horses’ medical records and will be able to provide you with continuity of care. They will also work with you on maintaining any scheduled appointments you may already have.
I am confident that you will be happy with this change. To help you get acquainted with your new veterinarians, please read their bios attached below. Furthermore, to ensure a smooth transition as well as to introduce you to Dr. Samantha Abair, we will be seeing patients together starting 5/11/2020 and continuing until my last day on 5/23/2020.

----------------------------
Dr. Samantha Abair was born in Upper Heyford, England on a military base where her father was a US Air Force pilot. Her love of horses started at age three when she began riding at her grandmother’s farm. From that point on, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, her response was always “a horse veterinarian!”
As she grew up, Dr. Abair never wavered from her lifelong career goal. She took summer jobs at local veterinary clinics so she could learn the industry. She continued to ride, competing in various equine disciplines throughout high school and college. Samantha obtained her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. After her formal education, Dr. Abair elected for an intensive year-long internship in surgery and internal medicine at West Coast Equine in Somis, CA.
Over the past decade Dr. Abair has worked in the greater Los Angeles area, establishing herself as a premier provider of equine medical care. Her conscientious approach to medicine, commitment to patients, friendly nature, and integrity have made her a favorite among many in the area.
Dr. Abair created Topline Equine Veterinary Inc. to further her capacity to provide excellent veterinary care. This independent practice serves the regions of the San Gabriel Valley, Pomona Valley, and northwest Riverside County.
Dr. Brenda Stadelmann moved to the San Fernando Valley as a young girl. At the age of 8, her mother signed her up to join the Blue Shadows Mounted Drill Team in Lake View Terrace to try “something new”. This new sport laid the foundation to decades of riding and owning horses, which eventually led to discovering her passion in veterinary medicine.
After years of rigorous instruction, clinical experience, and volunteering, she earned an associate’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Los Angeles Pierce College. She then achieved a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Equine Medicine at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Through her educational experiences, as well as veterinary ride-a-longs at Santa Anita racetrack, Dr. Stadelmann developed an interest in equine reproduction and sports medicine. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Although she enjoyed her adventures up north, including learning how to drive through blizzards, Dr. Stadelmann returned to Southern California to complete a year-long, surgery and internal medicine internship at West Coast Equine. Now an associate at Topline Equine Veterinary, she looks forward to continuing her veterinary career.
During her spare time you might find Dr. Stadelmann riding her horses along the mountain trails, training her deaf cattle dog Zoey, or enjoying all the little restaurants in her community.
