To everyone that knew and loved Basil.
Last night, 11/5/23, our handsome man passed away peacefully in our arms at home.
He spent his last days cuddling in bed, eating his favourite foods, and relaxing his tired, old body.
It's hard to post about this but I feel like I owe it to him to let everyone know. Basil was truly a special boy and touched the hearts of many throughout his 16+ years.
The right time to say goodbye is never clear but Sigrid and I knew that one more day with him would end in needless suffering.
He was happy and handsome till the very end.
There will always be a spot for him in my heart that will never be filled. He grew up with me and I will miss him for the rest of my life.
To everyone who took care of him, who came to visit him, thank you. He deserves all the love in the world and you helped give that to him ❤️❤️❤️
