Exciting update from the kitten house!

We’ve got SO many amazing adoptable kittens!
Let us introduce you to the most darling batch of ready to go cats;
Holly
JerseyGirl
Harvey
Arnold
Spice
Naomi
Pippin
Piper

If you’ve been following the rescue for a while you may remember the male kittens and Spice growing up from itty bitty babies. They’ve come a long way from the garage hoarding situation.
Naomi, Jersey and Holly are related to the teeny bottle babies Brad, Emily and Sweeney. They have been such sweethearts since day one! Never a protest, never a scratch or even a hiss. Purely wholesome loving ladies.

For information about their adoption process, other available cats or any questions you may have about upcoming adoptions please see our pages pinned post at the top of the profile.
Direct questions can be messaged to our inbox or emailed to [email protected]. Applications available by email as well

It’s a big day for Sweeney, Emily and Brad!
They’re off to the veterinary clinic for some vaccinations and then they’re going to be transferred from the kitten house to one of the most wonderful vets to foster them until they’re ready for adoption! Our family at the kitten house is going to miss them SO much. Watching them grow from bottle babies to happy fluffy energetic kittens has been such a blessing.

Calcifer and Tip are visiting the veterinary clinic today too. 5 of our beloved kittens are getting some of the final vaccines before they’re old enough for spay / neuter.

A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our rescue over the holiday season, we couldn’t do this without you! The Feral Cat Network Foundation is not only a charity/nonprofit, we do not profit at ALL off of the rescue. Every single donation made goes directly towards the care, maintenance, and rehabilitation of the cats you see like this tiny trio of siblings. All of our members are volunteers and do what they do as a labour of love.
When you donate to small organizations like us it really makes such an impact on the lives of our furry friends. We had such an amazing 2024, let’s make 2025 the best year ever!
If you’re wanting to donate but not able to do so financially, we also have so many options from donating time to help care for kitties, fostering, used towels/blankets/pillows, gently used baby toys, pet friendly cleaning supplies and more.
Again, thank you all for making it possible to see cats like this tiny trio, Emily, Sweeney and Brad, thrive!

Today is a very much needed dental care day for two cats, one of which is a Donalda feral, Marbles!

Marbles has been hanging around Donalda near where the kitten house is located for over 4 years. He’s been an absolute gentleman and just so wonderful to be around. Since 2022 we have been able to briefly pet him, 2023 bring him inside for short periods of time, 2024 he trusts us to treat his ear injuries without sedatives or restraints!
This winter we finally have gained enough of his trust to keep him indoors full time and get him vetted properly with an area to recover.

Sadly this boy needs some serious help with his rotting and loose teeth, his ears are collapsing due to the severity of long term infestation of ear mites and frostbite damage, as well as some other minor issues.

Truly we are all hoping that after this winter he will be willing to stay as an indoor cat permanently! This has been such a long process.

This holiday season please consider donating to cats like Marbles whose lives have been able to turn around thanks to the support people like you!

You can donate things like cat food, towels, blankets, baby toys and other cat enrichment supplies at places like Stettler Pet Value or donate through etransfer or PayPal. Thank you so much for your consideration!

[email protected] is our etransfer
Donations over $20 eligible for charitable receipt! Please include your contact information in the notes to receive your receipt.

Good morning everyone!

Mr. Bigglesworth has been doing so much personal growth this week, from the most shy, timid and terrified boy to a darling snuggle baby.

He was brought in to our care when he was trapped after showing up and eating chickens! Sadly it was a rough time in his life, he was doing what he thought he had to do.

In the past few days at the kitten house we have had the pleasure of watching him realize he does not have to fight or struggle.

This sweet big cheeked tomcat is hiding a secret; he will absolutely MELT in to your hands if you pet his chin to chest.
We can’t even open the door to his isolation area without him immediately purring and trying to jump in to our arms!

Thank you all for your ongoing support and generosity that gives us the ability to continue to provide care and a chance in life for cats like Biggles here. We couldn’t do it without you!

Feral Cat Network of Alberta

We started this group because we noticed a lack of resources for our Alberta Feral cat lovers. We want to create a community of support, networking in order to make a difference for these beautiful creatures. We are about the education of feral cats and TNR. House cats are welcome here as well since some of them are former ferals. You may ask and answer questions, share information, share your stories and pictures, but please note we are not veterinarians, so when asking for medical advice you will get strictly opinions and experiences. Please no bad language, abusive, threatening type comments, or negativity in any way. Please do not share death row cats as this is not the best forum for that. Also I decided posts on animal abusers are strictly prohibited, since those lead to heated comments. We are a respectful group. Offenders of the rules will be warned and subject to removal.
