Humble new beginnings. 🥹 Big plans that we can’t wait to start on, but like all things, takes lots of money and time. Exciting things ahead!

Yesterday we took in 10 adult three-toed box turtles, a lovely mixture of 5 males and 5 females! They are throughly enjoying hunting bugs, snagging nightcrawlers and burrowing into the deep leaf litter provided by our property’s massive oak tree which generates the most amazing micro-climate!

The cutest “box turtle” I ever did see 🤩😂

My son (4) insisted he was a turtle while helping to take the trash out. Clever way of stalling and making mommy’ heart melt 😂😍 🐢📦

Get a tortoise they said. It will be fun, they said. 😂 While it’s true sulcatas are amazing animals and ridiculously cute as babies, you can expect destruction to follow them as they grow bigger. And they do grow big. VERY big. 😬
