A very happy heavenly birthday to my darling girl who would've been 14 today. She didn't quite make it but I'm sure she's having a great day at the bridge with her magnificent brother, Tarquin & her household "sister" Missy Mou. Lots of roast dinners, snoozing & squirrels that don't go up trees to be had today. Love you my sweet girl. xx

Very sad news this morning.
Belle has gone to chase rabbits at Rainbow Bridge. She had a couple of seizures last night and really didn't recover. She passed very quickly and peacefully this morning surrounded by love.
Truly the best dog ever who was loved wherever she went for just being so comical and friendly. She made friends everywhere and loved everyone she met.
Thank you for following her adventures and fun. I reminded her that the squirrels go UP the trees so she may actually catch one now she's running free.

My new sister has arrived. She’s very nice in small doses! Mum told me she was going to be “ little” but she’s on stilts and very bouncy. Fortunately I can sleep through anything.

Belle really enjoyed a short waddle at Ashdown Forest today. She really loves it there- soft under foot & lots of people to talk to.

Urgent assistance needed! Mum made me walk in the rain & then fed me “healthy “ snacks. I don’t care if she says I’ve eaten all the tripe sticks. It’s just cruel!

Definitely life in the old girl yet. Having asked to go on the lead to help her walk, Belle then took off at great speed nearly pulling my arm out of its socket when she spotted a SQUIRREL 🐿!
It only took 13 years but she finally realised it had run up the tree!!! Sadly I didn’t get a picture to capture the momentous moment of her looking up but here she is checking it didn’t happen to fall down again.

My old next door neighbour Gary Turner sent mum some photos the other night of me playing with his girl, Nala when she was little back in 2014. Here I am in all my gorgeous red haired, sorry, "lemon" beauty!
Mum says I'm still gorgeous even if I am a bit greyer these days.

Poor Belle had a trip to the vet today after I found a dodgy looking lump on her. She's got loads of fatty lumps but this one was different, plus she's been really down since losing her sister so I wasn't sure if she was in pain from it or just a bit depressed.
Thankfully it was just a cyst and the vet's given her some meds for a bit of arthritis & some herbal stuff to calm her stress.
She did make me laugh though. They meet us in the car park now - Belle got out of the car & slunk around the bumper with her head looking the opposite way to the lovely vet - very much doing the "if I can't see you, you can't see me" bit. In the end I had to walk her in to the clinic.
When she came out, with freshly clipped nails, she was sprinting. Haven't seen her move so fast in ages. Definitely life in the old girl yet! Huge relief.
