This last weekend, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Mia girl. Mia joined our family a few years ago. While we didn’t know her for her whole life, she had our whole hearts. She was the sweetest girl who loved belly rubs and ham from the fridge. She loved the people at Paw Commons day care where she hung out during the day. On her ride home, daddy would stop and get her hamburger patties from Sonic. She was definitely a bright light in our lives and we miss her terribly.

Dear Mia girl, life will not be as exciting, and trips to San Diego not the same. We love you and pray you are raising that paw for treats in heaven.

The best days are those spent riding around with my daddy. He lets me roll down the window and stick my head out whenever I wants. Sometimes he takes me to his work where there’s this cat I get to chase. Other times we goes to daycare where everyone loves to pet me. But EVERY time I goes with him, he buys me a burger patty!!! Yep. Days with him are sure good!

Today our family said goodbye to our beloved Boomer. This guy is such a fighter! In the last 9 months he has been diagnosed with IBD, been hospitalized three times, had one major surgery, and seriously almost lost his life with each event. And, with each episode this guy FOUGHT his way back. Today, the battle finally got him.

This morning was pretty typical for him. We did notice he didn’t eat, but we just thought it was because his tummy was upset a little. Then the seizures started. He had three. The third one was at critical care and no matter how many doses of Va**um they gave him, the seizure wouldn’t stop. It was the most difficult moment seeing him unable to fight anymore.

And so we hugged him and gave him a ton of kisses as he passed away.

Boomer loved life. Every moment was spectacular to him. He has suffered a lot over his six years of life. Through it all, he still wanted to live, be loved, and maybe steal a few snacks. He will be deeply missed.

For the last time... “Hi peoples!!! I’m Boomer and I’m kinda a big deal!”

I know Booms. You are a big deal and we love you for always and forever!

Hi Peoples!

Something bad happened and I had to stay in this glass box for a long time (How rude!). Anyways the dogtor says I have both pneumonia and bronchitis. I don’t know what those words are, but I think it means you lose your bark and cough a lot. Da momma says a lot of you sent me nice messages. That made me feel so happy I almost didn’t care that I lost my bark. Thank you!

**update (2/24 am)**
Vet called this morning- Boomer made it through the night without needing to be intubated. He is still dependent on oxygen, but she believed he was breathing a bit better.

This Boy! Our Boomer... he’s in the hospital again. We don’t know much yet, but looking at pneumonia and airways as the most pressing problems. We love him so much and will post updates as we get them.
