We are a family run canine behaviorists service specialising in obedience and canine rehabilitation, with kenneling facilities at the Tythegston Boarding Kennels and running dog walking and visits in the local area.

Hello everyone!
Sorry its been a while, we've been busy behind the scenes but planning to make more regular updates!

🐾 Kobe 🐾
Believe it or not, this big fella is still only a pup. Imagine the size of him when he's all grown up! :D
This is a prefect example of owners catching a bad behaviour before it gains momentum.
Kobe had a bad interaction with a reactive dog while out on a walk one day and started to show the first signs of nervous reactivity.
His fantastic owners wasted no time getting in tough with us to nip it in the bud.
After 3 sessions with them they now have the knowledge and skill to deal with any negative behaviours that may arise to help Kobe on his path to adulthood.

I can't praise his owners enough for being proactive about his behaviours and catching them early.
It's much easier to build a strong dog than it is to fix a broken one.
Well done guys! Super chuffed with all you've accomplished!!! ☺️

Hello everyone! Apologies for the lack of posts recently.
We've been hard at work with our four legged friends and we would like to share some of stories with you guys! :)

🐾 Perry 🐾
On top of being extremely cute he can also be a bit if a handful.
His owners brought us in to help deal with his excitable attitude and to get a bit more of handle on his mouthing.
This case is a great example of of the good that owners can do for their dogs when they commit to training.
His owners were an absolute joy to work with, friendly, hard working and always have Perry's best interests at heart.
Big congrats to you guys! I'm sure with the new skills you've got you can take on anything that little Perry throws at you! ☺️

Storm + Wednesday enjoyed an early morning walk at 7am to beat the heat!

Luna + Shenzi out on their weekly walk. Their lead walking and negative reactions have massively improved since we've been working on basic skills to boost their confidence ❤️

🐾 Jonsey 🐾
Our new little buddy, Jonsey (left), is expecting a new house mate soon, a gorgeous rescue from overseas.
His owner wasn't sure if this would be a good idea as Jonsey is nervous around bigger dogs.
This is where our handsome helper Djinn comes into play.
While there were a few barks and a snap or two from Jonsey, he managed to finally accept Djinn into his home and relax.
Djinn's positive energy helped model calm behaviors for little Jonsey and all in all, it was a very successful outing.
Thank you Jonsey, We can't wait to meet your new brother! 😊

Djinn and Merlin enjoying some people watching at McArthur Glen today.
Many people forget that sitting on a bench and watching the world go by can be beneficial for your dog as it helps to teach impulse control. Making sure your dog knows how to behave in different locations and environments is super important for a well balanced dog 🐶

This update is of the fabulous Storm, Wednesday and Nova. Walking nicely on a lead is so important, more so when you have 3 dogs. Absolutely smashing it today!
Stopped at the local watering hole to give them a dip and a sniff!

Here we have the gorgeous duo, Luna and Shenzi.
They are showing off their loose lead skills and rocking it!
Since it was also a warmer day, we made sure to make several stops for water and even treated them to a dip in the local stream 😊

Dog training is an extremely broad field and there is no 'method' to train all dogs. You have to give specific dogs training to address their specific needs

In this instance we have two very different canines, Harry who is confident and headstrong and Missy who is nervous but extremely respectful
In the two exercises we are featuring here we are addressing their discrete needs on a walk at the same time. Cross training different activities on the same walk can be tricky to manage but is extremely rewarding over time as the dogs settle into a natural pack and skills are shared.
The goal with this exercise is to allow Harry to practice the respectful behaviours Missy models and for Missy to practice the confident behaviours that Harry exhibits

As we always say the dogs are the best trainers, we just ensure their safety and act as translators to our clients!!
When our staff dogs realise they can form a union we'll be in trouble 🤣
