I'm fairly certain that I need more room in my grow shed. Or that I just need to build a greenhouse. Young figs like to sleep for the winter. These will all go back outside as soon as the danger of below freezing temps passes us by.

What a better way to end the day than with a double rainbow over the farm. Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Today at The Figgery: I up-scaled the composting method from small batch 15 gal drums, to a more traditional open air composting bed. I love it already. It even smells good (to me at least). I can't wait to feed the fig trees with some compost, washed down with a nice gallon or two of freshly brewed compost tea. After all, we are in South Carolina, where even the fig trees drink sweet tea 😉 🍐🍐🍐

Although figs are not pollinated by honeybees, we now have honeybees working really hard at pollinating our other fruiting plants. Here they are foraging the potted plant table and getting to know the local bumblebee population. What's the buzz?
