Coto Conservancy Coto Conservancy is a 501(c)3 organization committed to preserving the original vision of Coto de Caza, California. We love Coto de Caza! Thank you!

From various backgrounds, we come together for a common purpose – to ensure that current and future generations of Coto de Caza residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the balance of nature and recreation within this one-of-a-kind gated community. Our supporters include residents of Coto de Caza and surrounding areas, local business people, visitors to the various recreation areas inside the

gates, as well as other not-for-profit entities who share the same goal of conservation. We wish to preserve the open space and natural resources of Coto de Caza, including the equestrian center (in its entirety), tennis, golf, parks and the many miles of hiking and riding trails around the community. Please join our cause and share your opinion on upcoming projects in our community.

*CALL TO ACTION*
Friday the OC Fair board added a surprise agenda item "update" proposing canceling the current RFP process (securing a new operator), and instead demolish the EQC because the stables do not provide "enough" PUBLIC benefit (& that the "horse owners" are the ONLY ones who benefit, NOT the PUBLIC).
YOU, the PUBLIC, must tell the Fair Board the TRUTH.
So PLEASE, PLEASE:
1. ATTEND/SPEAK at THIS Thursday's (12/14) Fair Board meeting 9am at 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, 92626 (Gate 4 on Arlington Dr). KIDS, too!!
2. CALL IN/ SPEAK at meeting via Zoom:

Say a prayer for this little boy….

🙏 We are reaching out to ask our Coto community to extend your thoughts and prayers to Bradley Rofer and his family. Bradley was tragically struck by a car while riding his bike on his way to school this morning and is in need of the most prayers possible from us all. We ask our community to please wrap the Rofer family with your love and support.

If you are available, please join at the Coto Sports Park at 6pm this evening to offer prayers and good vibes for Bradley and the Rofer family. 🙏💕

“So, who bought the private estate formerly known as Blenheim Farms? Will it stay a premier horse farm? The mystery is over, and we can thank the horse gods for the competitive western rider, Devon Martin.” Learn more about this exciting transition in the Capistrano Dispatch article: “A Little Bit About San Juan: Devon Martin and 5M Ranch”!

The Merryhill School public nuisance on Vista del Verde is being demolished. Thank you for your many calls and emails to the Orange County Code Enforcement department. YOU made this happen!

Here’s what we know about next steps…Oak Grove is still in the applicant’s court. The next step is to ‘finalize’ the environmental document (probably an MND) for public review and comment, followed by CPAC, then County Planning Commission, and then Board of Supervisors (this would need a Specific Plan Amendment which requires Board of Supervisors approval).

We will keep you posted…
