First peaches to ripen from our Red Baron ultra dwarf peach tree. I couldn't ask for a more delicious, sweet, freestone peach fresh from the garden! Photo doesn't do them justice. Not large but that's my fault, I should have thinned them. Still racquetball sized, not bad for not thinning and grown in a pot!

Currently taking orders for tart cherries and black satin blackberries!
Cherries are fragile and won't last long in extreme heat, they are fabulous antioxidants and can be used fresh or frozen in smoothies. If you like cherry pies and desserts these are the variety to use! Maybe you would like to make cherry brandy or wine, these are juicy and so full of flavor!
Black satin blackberries are full of flavor, sweet and delicious when used to make any kind of dessert, jam, wine, the list is endless! They are just beginning to ripen inside the high tunnel, way ahead of those planted outside so the season will be long and fruitful!

EGGS!!! Who needs some farm fresh eggs? Fed none of the bad stuff: corn, soy or GMO feed and instead LOTS of healthy whole grains, and lovely greens from the garden!

The chickens are enjoying more sunlight and are happily producing eggs again! Cage free, fed organically grown corn and soy free grains, sunflower seeds and all the greens I can pull, they lay eggs with dark golden yolks in shells of blue, green, brown and dark terracotta. Who needs to color Easter eggs when you have these beauties!

Trying to gauge if there is interest in fall veggie baskets ... items included would be broccoli, possibly cabbage, onions, broccoli rabe, cauliflower, radishes, possibly lettuce and maybe a few other items. I'll just have to wait and see. Let me know if you would be interested and if so, if those items or others interest you. If you have other suggestions please feel free to let me know! Thanks for helping this little farm girl out in deciding what to plant besides what my own family will eat.

Delicious, sweet and juicy Black Satin Blackberries are beginning to ripen! Sold per pint which is equal to around 2 dry cups.

Don't settle on those tasteless, invasive Himalayan blackberries picked along polluted roadsides when you can have the big, bold, sweet flavor of organically grown Black Satin Blackberries!

Mmmm, blackberries!

A few years back one of the Black Satin Thornless Blackberries snuck into the high tunnel and set down roots. It was on the edge of the strawberry row so I thought why not let it stay and see what happens. Well we are on year three and what happens is ripe berries weeks before the outdoor plants! Picked my first good sized bowl yesterday and promptly washed and froze those berries we didn't eat. One pound/one quart bag in the freezer for dessert this winter!

Beyond fruits, vegetables and herbs we are expanding to the occasional plant. Currently we have Asiatic Lilies! Price is $6.00 per plant in one gallon pot. There is a mix of colors, currently ready to bloom or blooming are a lovely shade of pink.

The earliest of the blackberries are beginning to ripen! Don't even think about those invasive, roadside Himalayan blackberries with their bland, watered down flavor when you can have big, beautiful, juicy and intense blackberry flavored Black Satin blackberries. If you love blackberries and their delicious flavor these will be available in the very near future. Pie, jam, jelly, syrup, crumbles, muffins even wine, the uses are endless! Montmorancy pie cherries have been pretty good this season! Last to ripen are still available at $4.50/lb, no spray, organically grown.

Needing eggs? We currently have a surplus of 7 dozen! Fed a diet of no corn or soy, organically grown grains along with greens from our gardens. $6.00/doz (picture is 18 count).

We currently have lilac bouquets available as well as fresh rhubarb! Bouquets range from small at 7-10 stems $10 or large at 15-20 stems at $20. Rhubarb is $4/lb. Keep an eye out for upcoming offerings of flowers, vegetables, fruit, herbs and even seeds!

Rhubarb is in season and looking great! Spring rains have made it exceptionally juicy and sweet, so much so that we made rhubarb sauce ad decided to have breakfast for dinner! Yep, rhubarb sauce on pancakes, delicious! We were only missing the whipped cream but really I didn't miss it as the sauce was so incredibly flavorful!
