Kids training dogs the right way! Today we feature border collie puppy in training “Bear” with her handler- not only is Bears down lightning fast, but she works with her young handler showing both respect and engagement the whole time- together they share in each training achievement under RDTs guidance. If you have a child who is interested in training the family dog drop us a message to find out how we can help 🐾
RDT calls dibs on this young man once he is old enough for a paying job! Back off other impressed trainers 😉
RDT headed to the salt lakes with Canine Impact this week for some free running to not only burn off energy but to build neutrality, proof our recalls and to help a pupper learn that dogs can be a good thing but so is playing on your own without being a pain to other dogs. Training never stops no matter how old your dog is- use it or loose it!
Puppy pre school done right! Calm, neutral pups learning how to relax in the presence of other dogs and people all within the air conditioned consult room at the beautiful Mundijong Vet Hospital. We cover everything from diet to how to correctly socialise your puppy and keep your puppy for life with a realistic and proven puppy program.
This booked out class features Gizmo the Burnese Mountain Dog, Reggie the British Bulldog, Hank the Mastiff/Staffy/Cane corso blend and Nix the German Shepherd. Thankyou so much for choosing RDT to help raise your puppies.
The Pest and her egg. She lugged this egg around for about an hour before it finally broke, she was very proud and repeatedly showed her egg off to anyone who would look. 🍳 ❤️
Dock Diving with Pesto today at the Perth Pet Expo at the Claremont Showgrounds
RDTs Walk Easy Package was booked by Frankie and family on Saturday- in under two hours Frankie mastered the heel and so did his humans. Now EVERYONE is having a good time on walks, not just Frankie the reformed freight train! Cheers buddy!
I don’t know a good dog trainer who doesn’t use meal times as an opportunity to train their personal dogs and RDT pack dogs are no exception- dinner time shaping session featuring THE PEST (Belgian Malinois).
As an owner of working breeds, I am obligated to responsibly meet their various biological needs- this exercise of shaping meets the canine need and instinct to work for food. Not only has my dog worked her brain and body, but we’ve bonded and maintained the give and take team dynamic RDT loves.
Behind the scenes of RDTs weekly indoor training with the pack. Each dog is working on something different and keeping this many dogs mentally and physically fit requires some creativity and dedication. New addition Miele the minpin was completely shut down on arrival just a few short days ago but with Gingers help she’s finding where the opportunities lay in the training room 🐾❤️🐾
Grace joined me in week 2 for Henry’s puppy training. Henry got some controlled interaction with another safe dog as well as working on hanging out calmly in the presence of other dogs in his own home. Henry added some obedience to his skill set with with recall, sit and a down- all of which he excelled at thanks to his owners working on his reward marker since I saw them last. 🐾🐾
