Hawksbill season is approaching. We are in need of funds to make the project go. All $$ go toward hiring locals to run the project and to buying eggs from poachers. There is so much poverty that there are too many poachers for us to get to the eggs first. We turn poachers into rescuers by incentivizing them to bring the eggs to the rescue. please support. We had a nest hatch this morning and what a surprise! Our project was blessed with a clutch of baby green turtles or black turtles. We are unsure which.
The green turtle is a large, weighty sea turtle with a wide, smooth carapace, or shell. It inhabits tropical and subtropical coastal waters around the world and has been observed clambering onto land to sunbathe.

Weighing up to 700 pounds green turtles are among the largest sea turtles in the world.
