PittieLove Rescue, Inc. 501c3 non-profit Pit Bull rescue organization-finding dogs their best homes-MA-Lic #0155 PittieLove Rescue, Inc.

is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of Pit Bull Terrier type dogs. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been

so sorely absent from their lives. Working closely with animal shelters, animal control facilities and rescue organizations and volunteers throughout New England, we strive to save as many dogs as our resources will allow. All dogs who successfully pass our temperament evaluation are placed into loving foster homes where they are provided with quality veterinary care, initial training, and extensive socialization (with both people and animals of all ages). All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. As experienced Pit Bull parents, all of our volunteers are happy to assist potential fosters and adopters with any questions or concerns they may have at every stage of each of our dogs’ lives, and beyond. Potential adopters are provided with applicable information relating to the specific dog that they are interested in. Although we do not accept dogs into our program that show aggression toward other dogs, we prefer to place our rescued dogs as only pets or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.¹

Our strict adoption policies include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive application process (with personal and vet reference checks), an initial phone screen, and a home visit. Please read our Adoption Policies on our website for more detailed information.

¹ It is important to distinguish the difference between dog/animal aggression and human aggression. Human aggression is not a normal trait of pit bull-type dogs.

Tala, now Wren, goes home! This sweet blue fawn cutie came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being left with her crate and a bucket of food, tied up in Boston. Understandably, Wren was terrified in the shelter environment and amazing foster Noah jumped right in to give her a safe and quiet space to heal. Itty bitty little Wren quickly settled into the good life and became quite accustomed to all that a loving life has to offer- leash walks, yummy treats and so many snuggles! The only thing she was missing was a loving family to call her own! Along came Katie and Chad- they lost their beloved PLR alum Frankie recently and were very much feeling the quietness of their home without his presence. They knew that the best way to honor his life and legacy was to welcome another deserving soul into their pack. One look at Wren and she instantaneously won them over! Here is the prettiest petite lady with her proud forever pawrents Katie and Chad. We wish you the sweetest of lives filled with everything that makes you happy, little Wren. We love you!

We would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you to our amazing supporters for the overwhelming response we received regarding our sweet senior boy, Kane. It truly takes a village to help these amazing dogs, and our village is incredible! The sheer number of people who rallied to get his adorable speckled face out there was humbling.
Kane is safe in a foster home, living his best old man life, soaking up the sunshine, gobbling down yummy treats, and doing all the things a senior dog deserves to do. While he’s safe in his foster home, Kane is still looking for a family to call his own.
We know there is the perfect family out there who would be able to give this low-key, mellow, and loving boy a final forever home to call his own for the rest of his days.
If you think you are that family, please head on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application. ♥️

Truffles, now Emmy Lou Truffles, stays home! This sweet, low riding lady came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. New PLR fosters Tess and Brendan along with their sweet resident pup June Carter Cash, jumped right in to give this sweet girl a soft place to stretch her short little legs. While with her foster family, Emmy Lou blossomed into a treat, loving, piggie snorting, splooting snuggle bug of a pup. She and June hit it off so well that the entire family quickly knew that she wasn’t going anywhere - Emmy Lou Truffles was home to stay. Just look at those matching smiles! Here is the lady of the hour with her forever family. Miss Emmy Lou.- we wish you the happiest of lives filled with everything good and especially everything yummy. We love you, sweet girl.

Say hello to Yoda!

This young, distinguished gentleman came to us from our friends at — and he’s nothing short of perfect!

Yoda is the definition of laid-back. Whether it’s the floor, a rug, a dog bed (maybe your bed! ), or the couch — he’ll happily snooze wherever his humans are.

But don’t let his chill vibe fool you — this boy LOVES his walks! The moment his leash comes out, his whole body wiggles with joy. He enjoys short strolls (as long as it’s not too hot), but he’s not your hiking buddy or running partner — his short little legs and bulldog nose say, “Nah, I’m good.”

Yoda also has a silly, playful side! He’s obsessed with stuffies — tossing them, shaking them, and sharing the fun with you. And when a ball starts bouncing? Watch out! He’s quicker than you’d think!

He gets along wonderfully with his doggie foster siblings and could live happily with a calm female dog. However, Yoda says “no thanks” to cats. Yoda would prefer an adopter with Bulldog experience who understands the health issues this breed is prone to.

Ready to add this handsome, easygoing boy to your family?

Apply to adopt Yoda today!

Introducing Maverick!

This high flying cutie came to us from our friends at Wi******er Animal Control. Many thanks to brand new foster Erika for giving this goofball a safe and loving place to stretch his wings, errr legs 🤣.

Maverick, like his pilot counterpart, is a charming combination of loyalty and passion- passion for snuggles! This big boy is happiest when he’s as close as possible to his person. Did someone say they were looking for a 90lb lapdog??

It’s a good thing that our Maverick hasn’t expressed aspirations of piloting a plane yet, he’s a bit of a clumsy boy. He’s been known to walk directly into some objects, who put that chair there anyways? as well as roll right off the bed on occasion 😂.

This silly boy, however, loves long leash walks and a good old fashioned game of fetch. Maverick has yet to meet a stranger, greeting all with a big ole smile and wagging tail. He’s working like a studious peer to contain his excitement and not jump up to express his happiness.

Among his many adorable qualities, Maverick is a self proclaimed food snob- it took his foster 3 tries to get his food dish in *just* the right spot, and to learn that it must be slightly elevated but not move. Hey, we love a man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to wait for it.

If you and your family are looking to grow by one big goober who will endlessly keep you entertained and snuggled, albeit he’ll probably never fly high like his namesake, Maverick is your man! Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application ✈️

If there ever was a time when we needed our PittieLove village of supporters to rally, this is the time. Our sweet senior boy, Kane, *once again* finds himself, through no fault of his own, in desperate need of a foster or ideally a forever home. This sweet speckle faced senior has been bounced around more than any dog should have to, let alone an older boy. He found himself surrendered to the shelter by the only family he knew from 6 weeks of age, to then being shuffled between three different foster homes, again through no fault of his own. Kane embodies all that we love about senior dogs- he’s unbelievably sweet and affectionate, gives the best cuddles, and is super low maintenance. Give this boy a short walk or toss a toy in the yard and he’s good to go! All Kane needs is a soft, safe and loving home to spend his golden years. While Kane needs to be the only dog in his home, he absolutely loves people big and tiny! If you have space in your heart to give this most deserving boy a loving home to call his own, please please head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org to fill out a foster or adoption application. If you have further questions, please email us at [email protected] and one of our adoption counselors will be in touch.

Theia, now Pansy, goes home! This sparkling silver snuggle dumpling came to us from our friends after being found as a stray. Pansy found herself safe in a foster home with new foster Jeff and family, where she worked diligently on perfecting her cuddling capabilities. Pansy wiggled her way so quickly into her foster families heart that they knew they couldn’t let this one get away! After losing their beloved pittie mix Poppy 3 years ago, it took a long while for this family to feel ready to open their hearts to another pup in need. Luckily for Pansy, her foster turned forever family decided that her pretty pittie smooshy face was just so irresistible that she could be the push they needed to save another pup in Poppy’s memory. The rest, as they say, is history! Here is the girl of the hour with proud parents, Jeff and Kristen. Her two-legged brother is waiting anxiously at home for her return. Happiest life Pansy - may it be filled with endless cuddles, love, and delicious snacks. We love you, pretty girl!

Captain Now Zeke Has Found His Forever Voyage! 🐾⚓

This sweet senior boy came to us through Natick Animal Control after his previous owner sadly became homeless. In stepped our amazing foster duo, Tom & Michelle (their 80th foster—wow!), who opened their home and hearts to Zeke for just one week.

While under the loving care of the team at Thrive Veterinary, Zeke met his soon-to-be mom. The spark was instant. Later, she returned with the whole crew—including senior pup Nala—and it was a full-on love fest at his foster home!

Now Zeke has officially set sail to his forever home with Mom Cadence, Dad Joe, and his furry big sister, Nala (though camera-shy Zeke chose not to look at the camera! 💕)

We’re beyond grateful to this incredible family for opening their hearts to a senior dog in need. Thank you for giving Zeke the happy ending he so deserves—you truly are heroes!

Brynn, now Penny, goes home! This sleek stunner came to us from our friends after being found as a stray. You may recognize her beautiful face from her television debut with the incredible Ray Villeda on Boston 25! ❤️
Amazing PLR adopter turned foster extraordinaire Cheryl and her sidekick Peanut gave this sweet youngin a safe, comfortable place to land and learn to dog. While in foster, Pennys true personality started to shine through- she learned that she absolutely loves the company of other dogs and kiddos, doesn’t love her crate (hey, a girl can’t be perfect all the time), and absolutely adores cuddles. Luckily for Penny, forever parents Joe and Alicia were looking for a snuggle bug to complete their family. This little lady met her forever family, and it was love at first sight for all! Here she is with her proud pawrents, four-legged Boston, and two-legged sisters Sloan and Braley. Penny’s smile says it all! Happiest life romping through the waves in your new home! We love you, baby girl! ❤️
